Don't worry about the stuff in the district crossing, it can hold 30 of any item without storage, no limit on the number of items. This is also a very good way to import something that you only need once (e.g. dynamite) - just say "always import" and they will bring in 30 pieces. Also, the food you had in would get eaten eventually anyway - beavers want food diversity. It would make sense to import as much variety as possible, you could import some of them without storage, so there's always 30 pieces if a beaver wants a different treat. You have more than enough production on ALL foods, so that you can have 2 main nutrients with large storage and then they occasionally eat something else that's available. This will make them build faster, walk faster, live longer. Otherwise you will get a deathwave on the new district as their lifetimes decrease. Also build lanterns, statues and other cheap and small boosts, it makes a lot of difference for very cheap price. The first monument (the one with only logs) is also a nice addition to put at the bottom of the humungous tank - it brings a lot of wellbeing and you are importing wood anway.

Remember to build breeding pods in your new district, otherwise you'll need to import workers every time the old ones die off.

Importing workers would be the most efficient anyway. With breeding pods you'd have to import berries and more water, you need more housing for the kids, more food... Instead of just let the kids grow up in the first district where it's plenty of everything.

You can set a minimum for the district so that you don’t have to constantly send workers manually, anytime it drops under the amount set you will automatically send a worker🫡

One useful tip when migrating beavers across districts is to set a minimum number of beavers in "needs a name", as that'll automatically migrate beavers over when one dies. Also, if you've not done so already, the advanced breeding pods are worth investing in as they produce adult beavers.

You need more pods, setup automated balancing of bevars between them. Remember you can use ladders all way to the top. For ever 2 ladders you need one 2 level platform next to them.

Doesn't remember destroying the first and 2nd district buildings when making all the water channels under the starting area, and rotating the entrance while doing it 😂

You don't need to set all storages to supply and obtain to set up the distribution routes. The way it works is similar to the priority system: Supply - Will try to empty into other non-supply storages. Producers will drop off goods here (I believe) but others won't until all other storages are full. Default - Will try to obtain from supply storage and empty to obtain storages Obtain - Will attempt to obtain from all other non-obtain storage. Beavers at district crossing will take goods from these. Note that storages set to supply or obtain may not factor into the balance of available storage between districts (you can check by having only 1 store set to that and it will not count). This can screw up the district crossings as they may not recognise there is actually storage available for a good. Generally you want at least 1 storage set to default in any district where you want to obtain a good so it can recognise it in the calculations (unless they fixed this). Also when you have multiples of the same building (builders, haulers etc) you can set one to high priority to maintain a minimum number of people doing that just and then adjust the priority individually for others, to keep fine control on how excess beavers are distributed out.

At the newest forestery area... 1) move the lumberjack flags to the platforms over the water. 2) move the forester to the same spot and readjust the paths. 3) dont forget a Grindstone or 2. 4) plant those extra 6+ spots as Oaks. 5) ever so slightly prosper with ever so slightly higher efficiency.

I've got a couple reccomendations for building the Cube. First, if you notice how fast the builders assemble the bottom two rows, that's because any beaver at any time can be assigned to any avaialble block because they can all be reached. If you go all the way to the top and just build along the top with a path on it, you can only ever access the stack of blocks right in front of the last one finished. Alternatively, you could build a stack of platforms, and then bridge between them with 6x1 suspension bridges. They'be been updated to allow beavers to work off the side of them now. That would allow for all of the blocks to be reached, so the beavers can assign to blocks constantly, which greatly increases the speed of the build on large projects like this. I'd also put that inside the cube to save on materails. The second suggestion is that you can now build levees on top of platforms, so you could stick a double platform above your stairs leading into the cube, and then levee on top of it all the way up to the top. When it's done, you can then stick a pair of levees in front of the opening to seal it up.

The water floods after a badtide because the water source is in the middle of the tiny reservoir, so when the fresh water returns some bad water gets trapped between the source and the clean water sluice gate. The only way that bit of bad water can escape is for the entire reservoir to overflow before the clean water gate can open.

Yes! Finally a youtuber that actually left one beaver in an inventors hut at all times!!! God its so good to see, you always need science and a little here and a little there really does add up to insane quantities before you realize it. Although i do wish there was some production facility that requires science points, it would be great for the late game after you have everything unlocked and nothing to do with Science Points.

Game mechanic kinda spoilery if you want to find out on your own dont read it. But... I dont know if they've changed the way builders work or not, but previously, builders would take a task from their contractor (town center or builders hut), complete the task then return back to the contractor and repeat. This cause a centeralized builder to be very ineffective. You should build a builders hut near your project so they don't have to walk as far.

28:12 There's a hole in the bottom of the water tower. Near the stairs you'll see a block with a gap under it, water will just escape through it (no, I'm not talking about the big hole that goes all the way up, but it is right next to that) It's between the stairs and the trash pile

You can build the tallest blocks of the dam by: - build the furthest one at the very end -replace the path with the planned dam

Simple rule of thumb - If you want something in a district - build storage for it. No need to mess with import/export settings.

Not sure if the stair thing will work because they will only build to 10 away from the path, so you'd have to build paths on top of the layer you are building. And as another commenter said, you'll probably keep trapping beavers. Name suggestion: Loft-tea!

District crossing workers get the same buffs as haulers so you probably don't need to haul goods to storage near the district crossing because its workers can do the same job with equal efficiency.

you could dynamite the hill by the district building for more room on the same level, and maybe put a water way under the road leading to the reservoir, make it green and you can do some more stuff in the new district, could also put a water storage by the pumps on the storage 9000, and remove the old small tanks where you used to pump up top for more stuff there, you are also running 2 soy fermenters one at the food production and one by the gear maker. Maybe setup export on the new district for metal when you need to move the metal there to the manufacturing area, and a name for the new district Kettleville Reservoir, or maybe just Kettleville

I found that building tall levee walls in two level lifts works best they can reach everything, they can walk on top of wall. So your stairs would need a landing every two levels so they can exit and build. They can build from stairs, but their reach is limited, they won't exit onto the wall. But, your wall is so large I don't know if they would walk that far without a path. Complicated.

My recommendation for the new district is Alveus (Latin for reservoir). Seems fitting since the district is situated between two large reservoirs.

A more efficient way of doing the stairs would be the ladder mod at the front of the structure, builds straight up so beavers have a shorter walk and wouldn't need all those resources wasted on the platforms

The "too far away from a district centre" message only shows up on structures that are "in the world" either as a finished structure or as a construction site. If it's just a future plan (that you can't see yet when disabling the build overlay) then that message will not show. So if you plan two levees on top of one another, the bottom one is a construction site immediately and the message will show up immediately (if applicable). The top levee will only become a construction site once the bottom levee is finished. Before that it's just a plan. Thus, no message until the bottom one finishes. The higher you build the longer you'll have to wait. It's the same if you want to build e.g. a forester on top of four platforms: Until all four platforms are built there's no construction site visible for the forester and thus it can't be too far for beavers to reach because it doesn't exist in the world yet. Beavers can generally build on any tile they're adjacent to in any direction (be it directly in front or directly above or diagonally up or any other direction) - the only exception is down, they can build as far down as it goes, no limit. I have no idea if the as yet experimental 3d-water update changes any of this.

You should build a not quite so mega dam/canal way of diverting the bad water that merges with the good water so that good water can go further and the bad water you can put water wheels on the canal and just have it create energy before you divert it off the screen. @3:30 it is in the section at the top of the screen

As a thought about how to get rid of the items out of the district crossing, could you set Teamberborn to import those items from the new district, since those are the only items in the district? It would be a little bit of micromanagement, but I think it would do it.

I used to think RCEs "mega" dams were big and your battery tower was big. Boy oh boy was i mistaken after i watched Sargons badwater lakes series. He did well i don't wanna spoil it but damn every time i see anyone do a "mega" project i'm just thinking that's small. That said wanna expand that reservoir about 30-60blocks either side and make it just a smudge bigger.

Pleeeeaase start using spiral staircases. not the part, but the stair layout. you can place platforms on top of stairs, so to save tons of wood and time you can just build your stairs completely vertical instead of building massive structures wrapping round entire dams

Loved that you put the district crossing in the thumbnail. Intentionally or not, its awesome to see some kind of representation where ever. It would be great i you said wether that was intentional or not, because it would muffle the openly transphobic people. Like when you say it, people see that not everyone just tolerates intolerance.
