yup, this is your solution. Increasing the haulers won't make much difference. You're better off prioritising the district crossing over the haulers. Numbers on the kettle side not so much a problem as the import storage is way more efficient compared to export storage locations. You probably won't need either the farm or lumber at all (and all the food processing you haven't built yet... and the 20+ more beavers to do those jobs). Best would be to have bots in the district crossing.

Something I discovered recently is building power connection underground. If you have a lot of power produced somewhere you can TNT the ground and build platforms over it. It's really fun to have power just pop up in the middle of a beaver city from far away.

I will always plant a random mix of oaks birch and pines and you can't stop me. Makes the map look so much more interesting and visually appealing. Just need a few extra spaces for the same amount of wood.

If you want to start flooding the pool, just use one block at the mouth of the gap for now and then use platforms to the top. This will at least allow for 1 tile deep pool. Just have to build stairs over the levee.

Keep'em beavers going! At 33:40 rotate the ladder and the path will work. Also you could cover the Teapool with overhangs from the top of the wall. ..and get well, a ton of Covid going around again.

The Ladder should have the rungs to the side of the path not blocking the path. The 2 high floodgates are at a lower level compared with the 1 high on the m reservoir, swapping out the single high for a sluice gate with a downstream height max might make it easier to manage and not waste water going over top of the 2 high floodgates. Increase the number of beavers in the district crossing, only having 4 on each side is not enough. Ideally you want storage extremely close on both sides of the district crossing as buffers that the normal haulers are filling/emptying from (depending on the direction of the goods movements) with your district crossing beaver moving from the buffer storage to/from the crossing.

27:42 Look at the water level inside the reservoir; it is one block higher than the water level outside of the reservoir. If you want it to get to equilibrium, you need to put levees to the same height as the reservoir and replace the newly built dam gates with three high ones (or at least an extra set of levees under two high ones)

@Biffa, the ladder issue, is because the path cannot go through the ladder part. It you rotated the laffer at 33:40 by 90 degrees, it would have all worked fine, as there is a clear run under it

Can beavers exit the ladder to the side? I alway thought they had to exit the ladder straight from the back at the top. If this is the case, then the stairs are in the way.

25:30 if you wait a second for the big reservoir to fill up, you can set it to .9 and it will eventually over flow. The reason the floodgates at the bottom are overflowing is because they are lower than the reservoir. Maybe raise up the lower floodgates

If you click and hold on the text for the level selector then move your mouse up and down, it will move the level up and down much faster than clicking on the arrows. There's also no point having tons of gates, you just need as many as you need enough to get the water through at the rate you want, anything above that is just a waste of resources. If you never intend to drain an area (eg for irrigation), then you are better of just putting dams at the top. Also tearing my hair out at how you can't see the double floodgates are 1 block lower than the main dam...

From 8:14 you see Biffa increase the priority of the ladders, the beaver sitting where the ladder will be built, and (briefly) beavers coming to build the ladders. So, there's good evidence they survived 🙂 What we don't see is Biffa realising it's the beaver who was on the stairs at 1:10 "no, he's fine, he's teleported back down here somewhere..." 😲 Biffa, Questions Will Be Asked! 😀

I think you should build an elevated badwater channel from the lower back side of the teapool to the edge of the map. In fact you should divert all badwater sources to the nearest edge, to clean the map.

You can put a bunch of storehouses (even just little ones) with food items right by the district crossing and tell haulers to fill them, to reduce the distance that the beavers in the district crossing have to go.

Relative to putting in food at the end I'd suggest 'corn' as the main emergency crop since it has the best land use to food ratio for the Iron Teeth. Things like eggplant and soybean need canola oil in addition to the main crop.

Your Kettle: Use the overhangs at the top of the kettle, and you'll need fewer supports for the cover. Less materials, fasyer building, more water storage.

The big water storage "kettle" is nice, however the water level will be limited by the level of impermeable floors. Sluice won't allow water raised above the level of the floor. You have to make "mokka coffee maker" tower inside, so the level can raise. Trust me

Beavers on the weekends are like watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid! A bit nostalgic and the wife and I tune in every time 🍻 If only for your huge reservoir tower you had that modded cantilever type platform instead of needing to make 20 stories of scaffolding which is fine as a task but ugly for an end product that everyone destroys after. I do think with update 6 the devs might need to make some more balancing to the factions; folktails have huge underground storage but the draw back was only ground and can't build vertically over it.. but now you can with all the new platform stuff so the iron teeth only having a 180 log storage (stackable) seems unfair. Perhaps bigger storage but just have a bigger resource sink like metal. I do wish we could toggle some buildings as available between the factions for custom plays instead of having to mod - like making large storage or windmills available for iron teeth. Or the vertical stacking food farms for the folktails.

You could try lowering the Kettle's priority to Lower priority that way you won't need to consistently highest priority things but put it at high priority leaving room for emergency building as highest priority and other "oh I need this" buildings will be higher by default than the Kettle.

There is a mod for pathways that go through levees, well its a levee with a pathway through it and yes its water tight. So i can hold water on the inside but be dry outside and still allow beavers to get through without going 39263miles up then back down.

The double floodgates are 1 block lower than the 1 floodgate that is inputting the water to that area. You need triple floodgates instead.

I'm not mentioning this because of min-maxing but just as a neat FYI. The part of the ground that's irrigated is rather misleading. As sometimes depending on the way it's done, you can go an extra one or even two blocks out from the end of the green. It's really confusing since the 3d water physics changed how the irrigation works entirely. So, in some cases you could capitalize on an extra row of trees if you needed to.

I'm late to this episode so maybe (surely!) you notice in the next one that your mega building is not actually getting built above 2 blocks round most of it. The one ladder approach will only work if you do one complete level of blocks all the way around at a time.

It would be even quicker to build a bridge along the side (or over the top), because then multiple blocks can be built at the same time.
