Making these into special episodes that come around every every now and then rather than a weekly commitment is a really good idea, since it feels like you'll have much more meat for the occasional episode considering there is a relative lack of enough relevant Star Wars content that interests all hosts. Having it once in a while will also make it more of an event, and while I do enjoy the connection and banter between all three hosts, I think a chunk of people do want more for them to talk about in a structured manner than spending a lot of the episode responding to superchats.

I noticed so many times they had to repeat themselves because you werent paying attention so no wonder they left. It comes off as rude and like you have better things to do so why should they put forth the effort when you arent? I totally agree. I never watched Nerd Theory cause I couldn't stand Josh. Though I would say Arnald was the worst guest host he has had. That guy's only knowledge of Star Wars was from a mobile game. The other two guys were okay at best, but once again they just felt like Disney Star Wars fans like Josh. I liked Mauler before these streams, never cared for Ryan until this show. But this show completely flipped my opinion of him because I had no idea he was this knowledgeable about the EU. I truly think Theory needs to find someone as knowledgeable as Ryan if he continues with a show. If we just get another Josh who is a normie on Star Wars at best, I'll probably tune out again. I also think Theory needs to brush up more on the EU in general, Ryan runs complete circles around him on all things Star Wars. Theory says he's a huge Star Wars fan, but he hasn't even experienced half of the best Star Wars material out there that's been around for decades. He just seems more interested in Disney Canon than the EU content which sucks. As someone who's die-hard EU and hates Disney Wars, I wish someone like Ryan ran a full blown Star Wars KZbin channel talking strictly EU.

@patrickthomas21197 ай бұрын
@@benjamingrant5970 that is part of the problem; I also get the impression after listening that Mauler doesn't want to put that much focus into just star wars. Star wars is losing it relevance and people in general are becoming less interested. Star Wars Theory focuses pretty heavily on that one topic and I think Mauler just is not interested in star wars enough to do 3 hours per week just on star wars.

A shame the weekly shows are ending, but if things are overwhelming across the board then yeeee, prolly best to chill a bit more even if it is sad a fun little show like this takes a back seat/stops regular meetups. It's nice to know you guys will be doing some episodes from time to time when movies come out or shows end. I think you got a really nice dynamic with one another and the talks are great. Came from MauLer and EFAP's little corner of the KZbins, but am happy to have found some fun new creators here. Am a bit of a silent lurker for the most part, but just felt it was right to leave a little comment considering the topic of the episode. All the effort you guys put into your stuff is always appreciated. As MauLer says, we don't see a lot of things that go on behind the scenes in regards to the work put into content, so to repeat it again, thanks guys. Looking forward to whenever you all meet up again after next week's episode.

Well, as a gift for the penultimate grift I'll drop a story theory/idea for Ahsoka season 2 that would allow us to actually explore Sabine's character while delving into Shin Hati as well. For context, I'm not a huge fan of Ahsoka and I thought Sabine was incredibly frustrating in multiple ways. I'm pretty meh on Shin, but mostly because we weren't given much to work with, just some scraps with the hope for something more next season. I want to find a way we can develop both of these characters in a meaningful way, while also adding to the overall story. Now, let me take you take you to a galaxy even farther away than normal where we begin. So, our stranded heroes on both sides (Ahsoka and Sabine, and Baylan and Shin) are making moves. Baylan is exploring the Mortis stuff while Shin is allying herself with those samuraii nomads and planning for revenge. Ahsoka will likely go after Baylan, though I'm a little unsure what they're going to do there after Ray Stephenson's unfortunate passing. Regardless, we're going to be focusing on Shin and Sabine here. Now, we've already had some allusions to Sabine having some potential dark side of the force (Ahsoka's reluctance to teach her, her Mandalorian upbringing and troubled early life) and we're constantly reminded that Ahsoka feels somewhat responsible for Anakin's turn. With Sabine as her padawan struggling with the dark side, we could get some really good conversations between her and Ahsoka about the nature of the force eventually. So, how about we play into that by having Shin lead an assault on the Noti when the two are off exploring. Have them come back to the horrific sight of the slaughtered and burned Noti. This sends Sabine into a rage and she goes off after Shin against Ahsoka's wishes. When she finds them Sabine leans into the revenge and begins mercilessly killing the samuraii nomads without even giving them a chance, showcasing a little bit of the potential for destruction a Mandalorian force user could create. Leading to her and Shin having another duel. Please just hire Nick Gillard or a better choreographer so they can have a really cool fight with Sabine giving into her anger and letting the dark side fuel her fighting style. Sabine begins to wear down Shin with the combo of her lightsaber and other tech as we see Shin getting more and more desperate as she realizes she is losing to this person she hates so much. Sabine is able to force Shin backwards and trip her. Immediately brining her lightsaber down in a killing blow that Shin barely gets her lightsaber up in front of her face in time to block. Shin's lightsaber is horizontal across her eyes and Sabine uses her leverage advantage and rage to push harder. Slowly but surely bring the saber closer to Shin's face till the radiant heat begins to singe her skin and make the beads of sweat on her face sizzle. A part of Sabine enjoys seeing this as the dark side continues to call out to her. She continues to push harder and Shin's eyes begin to burn as the blade is mere millimeters from her skin, the skin crackling and melting till the pain becomes too much and Shin lets out a scream that finally breaks Sabine out of her rage. Causing her to let off just a bit and allow Shin an opening to throw a final desperate, uncontrolled force push with the last of her strength that throws Sabine backwards and leads to her breaking her leg very badly. At this point we could have the two be forced to work together in order survive against the other nomads and wildlife on this dangerous world. Shin is blinded and Sabine is crippled, and the only way they can survive is to work together. From here we can really delve into their characters and see how they react to this situation. Shin being blinded would be an interesting connection to Kanan who'd trained Sabine back in the day. We could have some great conversations between the two as they navigate through the world with Shin needing to rely on Sabine to be her eyes, and Sabine needing to rely on Shin to be able to move. Not saying this is some perfect idea, but I just want to really understand and explore who these characters actually are by putting them in a situation where they have to be vulnerable.

@@DaNewWaveLeeI don't think it is that it's not good enough but rather he doesn't know shit next to Ryan and Theory and is in way over his head. He didn't care from the beginning or he would have watched TCW or CW but never did. I don't find him genuine but Ryan I absolutely love what he brings and have personally learned a lot from him. Theory is such a great human being and is handling this betrayal (from Mauler), which it absolutely is, better than any one I know.
@jonnywaldis82757 ай бұрын
@bc7013 Remember how this show started, Mauler clearly said he didn't really have the time for another podcast but Theory convinced him eventually to try by limiting it to 2 hours. Time was a problem from the very begining. Since you don't follow Mauler, you'll not be aware that he has been struggling with this issue for a long time now, that his own show, Efap, has been remarkably reduced in run time while there has been an uptick in prerecorded episode releases rather than live streaming or that he has indeed missed some other podcast appearances recently. The man is overstretched, it's a simple fact. Now he could just show up here, half ass it, edit on the side, make promises he can't keep and rake in his superchat percentage or he could tell Theory in the early stages of this cooperation that it simply won't work out. That way everyone knows where they stand and can go on from there. I don't see how cutting ties cleanly is a betrayal. Surely he can't be expected to cancel his previous engagements for this show, now that would be betraying someone.
@bc70137 ай бұрын
@@jonnywaldis8275It has been 4 months, if it wasn't working than leave 2 months ago. Dude says he will watch something for 4 months and never does. I can't respect that.
@jonnywaldis82757 ай бұрын
@@bc7013 so you've never made plans that turned out to be too ambitious? Also mauler generally only watches what he is told to watch for the specific episode. He was told to watch bad batch instead of clone wars, so he prioritised that. In any case you are of course free to respect or not respect whatever you like that's your prerogative. However framing Mauler discontinuing the weekly show due to an issue which has been evident to any viewer of his for months, as a "betrayal", is patently ridiculous at the very best.
