i personally want to see season 2 told from the Front man's perspective. we'd get backstory on his squid game, the relationship he had with his brother, and more behind the scene looks of the current squid game. gi hun could be a secondary character trying to infiltrate, possibly through the role of a new VIP

HARD same. The side story with him and his brother felt so... out of place? Tacked on? Idk how to describe it, but their story had little to no impact on the main plot and ended up feeling kinda useless in the long run. I'd love to see the both of them fleshed out more.

The writer/director has stated, actually, that a 2nd season would be mainly about the Front Man. Whether the plans for the 2nd season will now shift due to its popularity as well as talks/deals for a 2nd and 3rd season, we don't know yet, but he did say that.

would love this. they have the potential to do a lot of different storylines. they could also go back to when the games were created. Or do a future season where we see last years main infiltrating. or another season with the old man playing for fun etc. I do hope we get to see the front mans season too

The VIPs are supposed to be a comment on how Hollywood depicts Asian characters. So if your first thought was that their acting sucks, they're doing that ON PURPOSE.

Sang-Woo wanted to originally kill himself in his apartment bc he thought that was his only chance to take care of his mom. He does so after he knows Gi-hun will take care of his mom. If you were in a death game. And everyone came back (they knew what they signed up for), would you not expect someone to be like Sang-Woo? He understood the rules of marbles more than anyone (play anygames without violence), he hoped Gi-hun would choose the star (he stressed that he didn’t want old men), he pushed the glassmaker bc it was 9 seconds left with 4 people on the tiles (they wouldn’t have made it if he didn’t). Plus Sang-Woo was fighting for his mom so he could rewrite his wrongs and Gi-hun just gambled on his mom’s money (and tried to trick Il-nam). Plus the Squid Games make you come down to only 1 winner. Hence, the games of 50/50 chances (Marbles, Tug of War, Glass Bridge), The Brawl Fight and them purposefully leaving them knives

I highly recommend the best K-drama 'The Red Sleeve', which marked the end of 2021. "The Red Sleeves" is a beautiful true story of the love between a king and a court lady.📺😢👍

I don’t think a second season could shut down the Squid Game Inc Worldwide setup because society would change having no exit for this underclass. I think they will keep Gi hun’s point of view. OK totally off the top of my head, if he goes in as a VIP then we could see what’s going on with the front man and how they acquire the red Ridinghoods while they show the fruitless effort to improve the end games. Like they’ll give them better choices but everyone will still ruin themselves. And gi hun will be the front man choosing his own mind numbing drug and toy to use to deal with watching the deaths
