I absolutly love how this Deathwatch kill team complements each other! The Crimson Fist gives long range support while the Black Templar face forward. As It is written in their codex, the Kill Teams fuse their different chapter tactics.

Notice the silent team work, not only in assisting and finishing kills for eachother, but during the final fight as the Skorpekh Lord is systematically disarmed, the brother with the power sword began the fight with the lord and was it's "main combatant" if you will, there were many many times the other marines (especially the marine on the balcony providing overwatch and pin point accurate fire) could have inflicted significantly more hits and damage but instead they set their brother up for success, any time it looked like the Skorpekh Lord might suddenly pull a sneaky and seriously wound or kill their brother they acted accordingly: Liberating the lord from his powerful ranged weapon, destroying one of his front legs, then as the brother with his power sword reactivates it and steps up, it's remaining fore-leg is destroyed setting him up for success in beheading the xenos filth. And even when all is said and done, the brother seeing some of that tell-tale crackling, sparking green light he knows "Bucket of bolts needs extra bolts, I shall provide." Deathwatch are and have always been kick ass, and their armour with the additional details is just 🤌 Magnifique! Like Captain Titus' Deathwatch armour in the beginning of Space Marine 2 is just incredibly bad ass, gorgeous and sexy as all hell. People think men just want to wear Carhaart all the time but no, if you gave us the ability and opportunity to wear such amazing power armour, we would never take it off 😂

@@DarkRedCape yeah, only ones who would would be the obvious. ultras, salamanders and space wolves spring to mind. in fact the wolves put their chapter on the firing line after armageddon to stop an inquistor from killing off guardsman and population simply for being on the same planet as a demon, even though the astartes took great pains to make sure the news never leaked. this resulted in the wolves smuggling guardsman and families off the planet. the inq overreacted and sent the grey knights after the wolves. leading to the months of shame when astartes fought astartes. until over fenris a wolf lord found out and lost his shit. did something considered impossible and RAN in terminator armor and ended the lord inquistor for his stupidity. think the grey knights heaved a sigh of relief as fighitng other marines isn't their goal. felhand the dreadnought stepped in and mediated a ceasefire. The knights where like, thank the emperor, now we can go back to fighting filthy demons. Alsol seen a story on youtube of a salamander saving a female guardsman and giving her a letter of power out of respect.

I mean, at least Tyranids can respond with their rapid evolution and new bioforms. In 10-th edition trailer primaris marines are getting slaughtered. Ten thousand years of careful attempts to improve upon Astartes physiology, overcome by few dozens years of field testing. Also, every major victory against Tyranids is usually reiterated as pyrrhic for whoever is fighting them: they kill one splinter tendril - the rest of them just keep moving forward.

I love how yes, this is a board game, with immense lore, essentially it is a cartoon of sorts. But, a lot of passion and thought has gone into it. The look of fear and hope, joy and respect in the guardsmen's face when he see's the Marines approach. The Marines nod, and one takes the high ground stealth, whilst the other noisily kicks down the door drawing all attention to him. I f*cking loved that bit, so subtle and yet brilliant. It displays tactical awareness and approach. It would have been so tempting to have them both hammer down the door and go in all guns blazing. But the animators and writers understood 40k and knew this was not how Marines would typically go about this kind of confrontation.
