This seems like it is just history repeating itself. I may be mistaken, but it seems as though every era has followed the latest trend and adopted the newest technology, and have fallen into losing their own identity. Isolation through covid definitely reshaped the way people interact with one another (not so much for myself, as I am primarily a loner). There are still those people throughout every era who have taken to going their own way and not following the newest "social norm". If this number of people never multiplies to truly break through the system of control, then we will see the same thing manifested in every era/generation that comes next. Or maybe not. Just dropping a thought. Thanks for sharing.
