Another gem of a show, starring that one of one Ms Eve Arden. Loved her in Our Miss Brooks and the movie GREASE, always with the wise cracks. When I find her name among the opening credits of a 40s movie I always stick until the end.

There is a site called LOVING THE CLASSICS which has a collection of OMB TV shows. It's all of the first season and a few from season 2. I have it and have no complaints about audio or video quality.

I remember Eunice Mary Quedens, AKA Eve Arden from her radio show 'Our Miss Brooks'; for which she won the very first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
@adamantman3200 Жыл бұрын
I heard an interview with Eve Arden once. She talked about her birth name, Quedens, but refused to give her original first and middle names. Another example of parents giving their offspring horrible names was the great CBS newsman EDWARD R. MURROW, whose birthname was EGBERT ROSCOE MURROW. What news bureau would take a name like that seriously?

@@MrMenefrego1 Paul Gadd was Garry Glitter, but the less said about that loser, the better. I proofread several times, but still got it wrong. Happens a lot because my eyesight is poor. I have heard that the original Imperial formula was made with butter ("nature's own spread" here) , and this seems to confirm my suspicions (I guess they switched to "the 70-cent spread" in later commercials!)
