@toyotaFANatic81 Жыл бұрын
Hey, man! Thanks for supporting the channel! Much appreciated 🤜🏾🤛🏻 As for each of those parts you're asking about, I have had good experiences with most of the parts in my mod list. If you want a REALLY loud exhaust, don't bother with an aftermarket muffler. Just get a muffler-delete, and that should do it. That's what I did at first, but I found it too loud for the city, so I got the Carven mufflers installed. If you want a loud exhaust note, and you're not worried about your neighbors, a muffler-delete will do the trick.

1. Yes. A suspension lift will ALWAYS make gas mileage worse. When the truck was stock, the mileage was 16 to 17 mpg. Now it's 12 to 13 mpg. 2. How’s your truck doing with gas mileage? Have you done any mods to try and improve it?
@toyotaFANatic817 ай бұрын
The gas mileage is NOT good, as you would expect from a truck like this. 12 to 13 mpg. I don't own it for good mileage ... I'd be driving a Prius or a Ford Focus, in that case. A re-gear can help get back a little bit of mileage, but it will still be poor, overall.

Congratulations on picking up your Platinum. I have the same trim. They're great trucks. I'm from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦. We get snow here for 6 or 7 months out of the year, so I feel your pain. I put winter tires on the truck between Nov and Mar. The truck doesn't look as good, but I stay on the road! It's a bit hard to answer your questions (on what parts to pick for your truck) because a lot of it depends on your personal preferences, what you'll use the truck for, how you want it to look, how you want it to perform, the amount of time you have to work on it, and the amount of money you have to spend on it. There are a lot of factors to consider. What plans do you have for the truck?

Even with the 6" lift, my Tundra's ride is still fairly smooth. My turning radius went down about 20%, but that was easy to adjust to. If you want an even smoother ride, forget about the lift. Upgrade your strut-assemblies and your rear shocks. You'd be surprised at how aftermarket suspension components can improve your trucks' ride and handling!

Dude. I love your truck. This is thebuild I would 100% go for if I were to get one. Honestly want one SUPER bad, however the only thing “scaring” me is the MPG, especially after being lifted. The plan would be to have some kind of commuter beater car for longer distances needing to be traveled. I live in Connecticut where there’s always that possibility of a bad snow storm, but with rising temps, it seems less likely but most people get a truck for the 4x4.
@toyotaFANatic81 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out my truck's journey, man! The MPG is a realistic concern. I do FAR less driving now than I did in the past, so I put up with 12 to 14 mpg this truck gets. It's not just a daily, it's my project, so I tolerate the poor mileage. Having a smaller car to commute is SMART of you!
