I do not recommend leaving the cash drawer open unattended. I have access to the cameras in the office so I wasn’t too worried. Then he ran & I didn’t even think about the open drawer at that point. Luckily the most trustworthy person on the planet, Jeremy from Ken Ganley Kia, was the only other person on the premises.

Working in a casino cage, I've seen and handled my share of counterfeits and those 50s were very good compared to the usual fare. I look for the microprinting as well as that's usually pretty hard to duplicate if the counterfeiter is even aware of it. I was shocked those had the strip and the reflective number in the corner.

One thing to note is that the letters A through L will be used on the bills as the second letter in the serial number signifying the federal reserve bank it was shipped to after printing. MP is not possible as there is no federal reserve bank that uses the letter P. Plus it had H1 on the note which is also not possible, it will be from A through L and numbers from 1-12 depending on the letters place in the alphabet. For example A, B2 etc.

@@jedknutson8373 I would have been suspicious right away because he wanted to break up the transaction for seemingly no reason, but I don't think I would have caught it. Those counterfeits are so good that they are real to 99% of businesses. Most businesses do not have a machine like the one in this video.

As a career cashier (well, assistant manager now, lol) I can tell just by the feel of the bill at this point. The paper they use for US currency feels like nothing else. But always gotta teach the new hires the ropes. Feeling, look for the strip and the red and blue threads, and always, use the detector pen... good tip on the texture test too. Gonna incorporate that into training new hires now. Thanks!

2:25 Is there a reason you "accidently" left the drawer open? You mention the bill did reflect in the bottom corner...did it change color when reflecting? I hear that is the hardest part to counterfeit was the color shifting during the reflection.
