Sam Wilson is the Captain America we deserve and NEED, especially in these times. His speech to the GRC and the world at the end is honestly one of the single most powerful speeches I have heard in tv or movie history. Even Steve would say he wish he could give a speech that good. Also the scene of Sam showing what he did for Isaiah completely broke me down. Old men crying, war veterans crying, and wronged people getting some sense of validation or justice crying can make me shed a few tears. All THREE at the same time!?!? I was helpless.

I think this episode shows what John Walker/US Agent is. He's a guy who has a short fuse, and will lose it on "the bad guys" - but still has that instinct in him to protect citizens in peril. He's not evil. He killed the guy in episode 4 because his best friend had just been killed and he was juiced on super serum. In a moment of rage/grief from losing his friend, and amplified emotions to the nth power, he lost control. When he showed up in this episode, he wanted to take out Karlie - she killed Lamar. But he didn't want the other super soldiers dead, just brought to justice. Also, I think the weight of being Captain America being off his shoulders helped. When the chips were down - go after Karlie more, or save people - he made the right decision. Complex, fascinating character.

John has said numerous times that he just wants to do the right thing, he just wants to help people and that's been his whole agenda. He was given extremely big shoes to fill and felt like everything he was doing was not adequate, he was under immense pressure, had an intense desire to prove himself, had major ego issues and on top of that lost his best friend. I'm not excusing him but just saying that we just saw the worst aspects of his personality. And when he's finally faced with the choice of getting revenge or doing the right thing, he chooses the latter cz essentially he's not evil or a bad dude. Lemar even said that Walker consistently makes the right choice even in intense battle situations.

And Achara was right all along , Though episode 5 made it fairly clear of the crime overlord’s identity, the finale pulled off the mask: Sharon Carter. Burned by her SHIELD contemporaries and gone rogue in the aftermath of the Blip, Carter was the one pulling the strings for Karli Morgenthau’s super-serum operation. And in the post-credits scene, Sam, unaware of Carter’s double-identity, makes good on his promise of awarding her with a full pardon. Amazingly, in a show so focused on the Black experience and a history of American systems harming people of color, Sharon is the one who the government has decided to “pay” back. hope you read it @GetJaby

John Walker's character was so much well written. I really wish he reprises his role in Thunderbolts' version of Captain America. Thunderbolts is a re-published dark version of Avengers lead by Valentina Allegra (Fury's counterpart maybe) who gave Walker his new suit.

Loved Walker in this episode. Kinda redeemed himself. A) saved the bus full of people knowing fully well it would mean Karli would escape. B) respected and acknowledged Sam as Cap. C) actually collaborated and worked alongside Bucky and Sam, leaving his ego issues aside. I never disliked the character, just hated him as Cap because he was everything Cap isn't supposed to be. But i think ill like him as US Agent, he's a Grey anti-hero who bends the rule for what he thinks is right. I need a second season, this show was fantastic. Did not expect this level of political and social commentary.

It's nice how they basically paralleled Killmonger-T'Challa conflict in this show with Karli-Sam with the concept that Karli's intentions were right but the execution was wrong and hence she had to die.

The things about the suit are this , it's made by shuri from wakanda so Sam can be proud to where it and like sam said we (black people) built this country during slavery so now same can feel good about being Captain America plus with isaiah not being able to represent america as Captain America like he should've now sam becoming cap means even more

Oh boy, now the power broker has free access to literally any information she'll even want or need. I like the the contrast of the current sharon than who she was before. She went from being a dutiful, obedient agent who was just a cog in a larger wheel, to being a self serving, vengeful mob boss who doesnt care about anyone but herself (and her friends of course) cant wait to see what she does from here.
