She also tries to insult you by saying you put the dumbest moron in charge of the entire facility, glossing over the fact that Wheatly probably *failed* the project that created him, more or less, by not being able to reach their desired standards of stupidity, and just telling him most aspects of his design would kill him, put him to some meaningless task to the project scientists and went on their way. Wheatley couldn't help *but* believe them, because they were his creators, and hence we see his "stupidity" in the game, but he just doesn't know *what* he needs to do, and is about on-par with a human person, along with his slight trouble with multitasking. Ironically, we probably got the *smartest* Wheatley able to come out of the project that was to create him.

The one thing I always wondered. How did PotatOS survive the fall. With Chell her leg braces managed to cushion the impact of the ground but I assume the velocity of her still had her pass out when she made touchdown. Meanwhile PotatOS should have became mashed potatoes. Also strange that a Potato has a less falling velocity than a human.

I’ll be honest, since I was about 10-11 when I played this game the year it came out. I had already seen my dad mess with wiring before and heard the popping that comes from faulty wiring. I wasn’t fantastic at processing dialogue and I definitely couldn’t hear a lot of what Glados was saying through her grainy potato speaker. I literally thought that while we were falling, she was doing something internally to fuck with her wiring. It was only recently after rewatching some stuff on this game that I actually realized it was just her making a slow clap sound.
