The Falx is an excellent curved sword with a B scaling in dex and a D scaling in strength fully upgraded. So we went for a build with 60 dex and 20 strength for this setup and took it to the arena.
Right out the gate, this weapon's most admirable quality is its ash of war, revengers blade. The distance you can cover with it is incredibly deceiving, and its hyper armor makes it a viable choice against some of the larger weapon types. The barrage of slashes, which is the follow-up R2, has amazing combo potential. The slashes themselves deal serious poise damage, and if you manage to bleed your opponent, this leads to a true combo. Most notable, however, are the directional inputs on this thing. Not only does it cover a great distance, but you have incredible control over that initial animation. This gives you the power to create blind spots for your opponent… swiftly maneuvering around them and attacking from different angles.
The falx was an ancient weapon used by the Dacians against the ever-pervasive Roman soldiers. Its curved blade was used to cut through their shields and disrupt the frontlines… honestly so cool to think about.

I helped hornsent, then summoned him right before beating messmer so I missed the chance to get his weapon. I thought I was doing his quest right but that was the end of it for me

@@Gorlami90 you can still get his weapon when you make it to the last area of the DLC. You will duel all of Leda’s companions, including Hornsent

@@Razz150 he never showed up. I also helped hornsent instead of help Leda in shadow keep. Not sure why he didn’t.

In Duels… it’s only useful against block head builds and panic rollers. Then there’s “smart-ass” runners who watch high level players… just roll.
