Make sure that the "Budgeted Cost" column that you are adding is the User Defined Field that you created and not from under the "Cost" category which is for the resources. Feel free to reach out to me through the website at pjmss.com if you are needing help.

Sorry, but this has little value and is not the ideal way since the cost is not time distributed. Best way is to use resource assignments.

This absolutely has value! And I specifically state at the beginning of the video that it's not ideal because you do not get to use the histograms to project future projected costs. But many projects are not interested in projecting cash flow. I've worked on MANY projects where they are simply interested in using the schedule as a tool to help process payment applications. This method quickly allows you to do that. Yes, it's a tradeoff, but if you are looking to cost load a schedule quickly, this allows you to do it quickly without the complications of resource assignments.
