On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

If both planes are equal on an equal playing field then pilot skill will make more of a difference. Comparing Airframe capabilities is very situational and mission dependent.

Just ask for any acft vs. the same type. There, all pilot skill will be on display. I'm down with that. Run a best of 5 fights. Winning pilot carries on, so if GS gets smoked, he will just narrate the next match on his channel.

At least two of those F22 wins were entirely the technology of the missile. Not pilot manuevering or anything else... clean misses that self-corrected enough to put a Mk.48 torpedo to shame.

That....uh.... that's how BVR fights work my dude. GS has had Russian missiles do the same thing, so it's equal. In a BVR fight, you want to lock on and serve a missile as quickly as possible in the merge. How well your aircraft can maneuver is important, but it doesn't matter because radar on these aircraft actually moves and turns to track the target. You don't need to point the nose all the way around to get a good lock.

The F-22 greatest advantage is it's Stealth capability at longer ranges. To merge with another aircraft in a dog fight represents a failure of the F-22 pilot. In all reality, the F-22 will get the kill long before a merge happens.
