Above all else, Tekken 7 finally made me understand why Heihachi was so kind towards Xiaoyu all this time. It's not just because he saw some of Kazumi from her or the fact he is quite a gentleman towards women, but it's because he knew that falling in love with a person with the devil gene is bad news, and he didn't want her to go through a similar experience he went through by loving Jin.

From what I know, She might be mad at Heihachi because if it weren't for Heihachi throwing Kazuya down the volcano, they might have become a couple and things might have been different. Remember, Jin was conceived merely days before Kazuya vs Heihachi (T2) fight. But maybe she knew Heihachi's real intention of removing the Devil Gene so she thought Heihachi might be able to keep Jin safe from it.

I was only saying that I feel sorry for both of them for different reasons. Yeah, Heihachi is a dick for killing....okay, pretty much almost every family member he had and especially trying to kill his son.....three times a matter of fact, but only because his wife one day had the Devil Gene and that's where all the craziness started. And even though, Kazuya is a dick for trying to kill his dad (and finally did so in Tekken 7, unless he somehow comes back in a future installment which I won't be surprised honestly), he only did that for revenge, due to the fact that Heihachi not only killed his mother, but was an extremely abusive father to him, once Kazuya became a certain age.

Honestly I think Tekken has one of the most morally-grey stories out of any fighting game. All three of the Mishimas are good or evil at some point. No. Lars is the biological Son of Heihachi, making him Kazuyas Half brother. Kazuya only possesses the Devil-gene because of his mother which he doesn't share with Lars. It was also answered WHY Heihachi allowed for Lars to be born: He knew is battle against Kazuya would cost him his live, and with kazuya dead as well, his family would have died out. But with Lars remaining there would still be a Mishimia left. not in name, but in a biological sense. (Remember, this was all way before Jin existed.)

The Boss Rage includes the entire story mode, which is why it took so long. Even the mooks were a handful at 10 star difficulty. I was there for almost the entirety of the stream but had to tap out at around 6:30 AM PST during the Shin Akuma bonanza. Max was raging at chat pretty hard around then. IIRC, they already had over 400 deaths by the time they got to Shin Akuma.

You can say that Tekken 7's story mode has a lot of flaws (mainly the boring narrator), but they nailed the final battle. It is a personal fight that spans the course of over 2 decades (both ingame and real life) with sick music and cinematic scenes. It is also a fight with 4 rounds, each getting more difficult, so you feel Heihachi's struggle as the fight ramps up.

No. You just have to beat the Special Match to get the true ending. I did it on easy because fuck Akuma. Oh, even on Easy, Akuma still kicks your ass. Difficulty makes NO difference in that match.

No. The game states that the difficulty does not change the content of the story. It only changes the difficulty of the gameplay.

I know what is expected because I watched the 12 hour stream of this boss rage and oh boy this was painful and fun. Basically on 10 star difficulty, you will take a lot more damage than usual and the AI will block everything and break out of your throws. The only thing that you get from beating the Special Match on 10 star difficulty is "King of Iron Fist" title.

Difficulty buffs Akuma's damage and nerfs yours in the Shin Akuma fight. In other fights it does the same AND makes the CPU more aggressive.

As corny as the story may have been at times, with the boring narrator. I really appreciate the effort from the Namco Tekken team in giving us a full game, with a story with some "excellent!" fight sequences. Especially the Akuma shit, and the last Heihachi/Kazuya battle....I loved every bit of it, other than dying 20 or so times to Devil Kaz, though I know its part of the journey. I wish the other characters had some sort of inclusion to the main story, even if it was brief and maybe some cameos from characters who didn't make the roster like Anna or Bruce who were Kazuya's 2nd in command in T6. But I like that we at least got something with the endings, so can't complain too much. Now onto the Kazama/Mishima storyline for the next 20 years =P....Curious to see if Akuma continues in the story, with Kazuya still alive and maybe finding out with Jin having a devil gene too, he'll go after him as well.
