As sad as it is with Kurt and Layne being gone, the fact that we are STILL talking about them and listening to their music shows the impact they had on people's lives. And, I think that's pretty neat.

Just the fact he started On a Plain with a #4 followed by all major 3rds makes him one for the ages. Don't get me started on Lithium. I'll just say, mixolydian #4, or lydian dominant or whatever you wanna call it, is the secret scale - 1 2 3 #4 5 6 b7. This was Kurt's magic wand. Of course the 3rd can be flat too (lydian diminished), and avoided altogether on guitar preferably. He loved chromatic melodies and sharp 4ths, and was able to make them super melodic. The melodies were usually simple (except Lithium or SLTS or Drain You et al) and the chords were simple, but they were like two different songs that happened to harmonise perfectly in unexpectedly brilliant ways that no one before him or since has or would have ever thought of. There is never a second wasted in his harmonic structuring, but he was able to make the constituent parts seem extremely rudimentary. The chords and melody for On A Plain *should* be two completely different songs. I'm keeping with that as an example but there are a bunch of others. Plus Krist's bass playing is up there with the most underrated of all time. Incredible tone and sense of counterpoint.

It’s true though she explains it a lot that she didn’t know him. That she isn’t really a fan of the music and realistically I don’t blame her. What is iconic memories for so many and art that will live on through time would be a constant reminder of what she didn’t have. No money can replace that and having to live with the constant reminder from people would be incredibly hard.

I still remember watching Teen Spirit on MTV at the age of 11. It absolutely blew my mind. I remember the day the news broke of his passing I was 14. It crushed me, and I cried. Every year since his passing I have a memorial day for Kurt Cobain, and I light 🕯️ a candle, and play his music on April 5th. Kurt's music has touched so many people. I hope he's doing well in the sky. He will never be replaced. I can't wait to meet Kurt someday, and thank him for his timeless music he's left here for us to enjoy. RIP Kurt💔!

I was in 4th grade when I heard of his passing. Even at that age, I cried. My mom was a Nirvana fan, and I very quickly became obsessed. Nirvana was all I listened to all the way up until midway through high school. No joke. Kurt was my first crush… which is weird cause I just noticed a couple months ago, my husband is almost a spitting image of Kurt. If he grew his hair out… he would pretty much be a reincarnation. ❤❤❤

Would like to know what he was like after the overdose. Somebody, I think Krist, said he didn't seem "all there" cognitively which makes sense as he had to be revived from the brink of death. I think blood was coming from his nose and he wasn't breathing at all. I wonder whether he would've ended it if he hadn't tried substituting benzos for heroin in that last year. Everyone said they made him "manic, paranoid & crazy" in a way the dope never did. Several others have killed themselves on benzos including Chris Cornell & Sparklehorse singer Marc Linkous. They definitely make depression worse for many people. I feel like he would've lasted longer on opiate maintenance rather than being pressured to get clean & perform. Total sobriety doesn't always work for everyone.

Love was in rehab in LA when Kurt died, and Kurt very obviously acted of his own accord and offed himself. Yeah I was hoping for a better video from this account. This video is strictly what Courtney has *sometimes* (we all know she changes her story often) claimed as the truth. You don’t have to believe the kurt was murdered scenario to have added other well accounted facts about that time. Why would the doctor in rome go on record saying that he did not have that much Rohypnol in his system? Also Courtney has claimed before that she waited some time to call the police the ambulance.

@@CherryFlavoredAntacid I am a Rohypnol addict and I highly doubt that he took 67 pills, in Europe every single pill is packed, in blisters stripes(I thing thats the word for it english), in every package is one 10 pill stripe, so he would have to grab 7 packages and would have to take out every single pill out of the blister. Also ,the pills are very hard medication, no need to swallow that amount, even Janet Billig said he just took too many pills (but not 67!) and didn't want to kill himself... You can't force someone to get clean if they don't want it for themselves. I understand that friends and families want the best for their loved ones. It's great to talk to the person who is using and let them know you want them to get better and you're there for that person. But to gang up and give ultimatums probably isn't the best idea. If he wanted to get clean he would have chosen to do so. Plus, it's not like he was destitute. He had money and a place to live. He wasn't stealing. Not that it makes it okay. But...I don't know, it's just so sad, so tragic. Everything that happened with him. RIP Kurt

Half of Kurt's money was hers anyway due to 'common law' in CA. But she wanted the money due Krist and Dave.
