Respectfully, it is not just teen emotions he is dealing with. Finding one's place in the world is certainly a tricky issue, but he has always had something to occupy him, some reason to move forward and act as he did. He wanted to help the crystal gems in their battles and he did so while also dealing with a great deal of issues. War, believing he was his mother and taking responsibility for her choices as well as the decisions of others. Since he gained his powers, his life has been one event after another with him ignoring his own needs and emotional well-being in favor of taking everyone else's problems. Now it is catching up to him and with his life effectively changing in such a way that he now has time to ponder these things he cannot distract himself from them anymore.

They prefer pretty much the same options, that and stimulating conversations about fiction. It seems to me that these things do wonders for my mind and helping me when I am stressed. • Rafamations • Rose Buds is more of a send off to the zoomans and wrapping up the bubbled rose quartz’s story line. And to me A Very Special Episode is more of a send off to the fusions. Snow day is more of a send off to past Steven. Little Graduation is mostly the townies like Sadie, Buck, Sour Cream, Kiki, and Lars but also the Off-Colors. In Dreams I definitely a Peridot episode, having the first thing she genuinely enjoyed from earth (besides rain). Prickly Pair in my opinion, is one last ode to Stevens plant life powers (kinda bummed we never saw anymore watermelon Stevens). Bismuth casual is mostly just a send off to Pearl, Bismuth, and a little bit of Connie. Together Forever is Connies sendoff, with Growing Pains being Dr.Maheshwarens. Fragments is Jaspers send off, and Homeworld Bound is Spinel and the Diamonds (and the eventual outcome for all the experiments).

The chest was a background decoration. It was a symbol of kept secrets from Rose/Pink. In the beginning of the movie it was opened to imply that Steven let out all of her secrets and believed they could move on to happily ever after. That wasn’t the case when we met spinel but it was to symbolize Steven’s thought that there were no more secrets from his mother.

@@jhunmichaelibanez2362 Except, I don't think he was corrupted. I think it was uncontrolled shapeshifting like in "So Many Birthdays". There are none of the normal signs of corruption: 1. Most obviously he wasn't attacked by whatever the Diamonds did the first time, and there is literally no other evidence that suggests corruption can happen in any other way. 2. He has no corruption scars afterwards. Even Steven's healing powers cant remove those scars from corrupted gems. At the same time there are other examples of a gem's body being changed, or damaged, that don't involve corruption. Volleyball's mental trauma(guess what Steven has) preventing her damaged eye from recovering. Amethyst's previous self worth issues pushing her to take new but unstable forms. And most appropriately for this situation, in "So Many Birthdays" it was established that Steven's form changes to match strong feeling regarding who or what he is. If he strongly feels like an old man, he becomes an old man. If he strongly feels like a baby, he becomes a baby. If he strongly feels like a monster, he becomes a monster.

I feel that for the Lapis episode was more about our Lapis, seeing her progression and how she's doing. Then about those two, also showing how Lapises terraform. Also, PERSONALLY, while I would've liked to get some lines of Pearl going to hang with Volleyball or see her in the background. I am kind of glad they didn't show her eye and they ended her story. Though that's a personal taste thing.

To your criticism of Bluebird, Why so Blue, and other episodes: These episode hammered in the idea that there’s no happily ever after. No matter what Steven does, not everyone will be happy. There’s nothing he can do about it - but he needs to learn that there isn’t a problem with that. You can’t satisfy everyone! There will always be gems out there, hating him - but again, that’s ok. That’s what Steven’s problem was - like you said. I feel that these episodes helped build to his downfall because he literally has nothing to fix - so he makes his own problems. Which may I add, I think is really poetic to end it with Steven being the final enemy, and that finally STEVEN created a problem to deal with and not his mother.

I’m actually really glad this ended the way it did, the whole episode shows the perfection in imperfection. Steven was upset about the fact that the gems ‘seemingly’ didn’t care but then Garnet said that she saw a future where Steven didn’t leave because they were upset. It shows how no matter what happens either of the only two options would have ended with Steven being (in some way) unhappy. Even the ending, it’s happy because Steven has finally found himself but at the same time he’s leaving everybody. The original series constantly ended with no long term consequences, everyone was constantly redeemed and everyone’s problems were (for the most part) fixed fairly quickly. It’s a lot more realistic, in real life, no matter what happens you can’t live a perfect life your story won’t end with all the things you wanted coming true but as long as you try and as long as you keep on hoping and pushing, you can make your life as close to perfect as possible and at least in my eyes that’s real perfection. You can’t have the good without the bad, you wouldn’t be you without your struggles. I also love how it represents the unknown we don’t know where Steven is moving to, if Garnet will ever actually have a wedding to plan, if he ever will be able to visit, if he’ll ever really find happiness but we’re shown that he’s trying and dedication is all that you need to be happy in the end. Steven was his only enemy, he was literally the final antagonist, he was the only thing in his way once you can love yourself you can love the things you do and truly find what makes you happy.

I was ok with Steven Universe finally coming to an end, I was ok with the idea of letting go one of the most important tv shows in my life, one that has taught me so much, made me grow so much, and helped me throughout all these years to get to know me better and love myself. But I really am just in the same position Steven is right now, facing so many paths and possibilities that I don't even know if I'm going to be proud of. And It's scary, not to know what's to come, to be left frozen in time while everybody else already found themselves. So that's why it hits me in a very special way every single time I hear you say those words: "You're going to have so much fun in your little trip, you're going to have a great time finding out who you want to be, discovering the world", because I feel like you're saying that to me, and it's comforting to at least have somebody say something like that, and I'm glad it was you Zamber. I also have to thank you, for the passion, honesty and dedication you gave into every single SU video, I've enjoyed all of your content, and specially these kind of reactions. It reminds me I'm nor the only one, that we all share similar stories, and that we completely love this show and the amazing things it brought to us. Even tho I'm still sobbing while writing this, I couldn't be more thankful, to Rebecca and the SU Team, to incredible and lovely people like you, and to the entire Steven Universe community, that I see today as part of my family too. Rebecca Sugar is such a genius! I can still remember all those moments in the show, and the fact that all that was building up the main character actually having issues, and not being perfect which everyone can relate to (except the gem stuff ofc) the finale made me emotional but I felt good after it, the show had a meaningful ending instead of Star when they literally just destroyed all of Magic and just somehow combined earth and Mewni... Steven Universe Future truly showed us how everyone had grown instead of leaving them in the dark, some had little changes but some had major like Pearl, she's really getting along with Greg and just not mentioning Pink Diamond at all like she mentioned Rose in season 1 and forward. Pearls overall my favorite character her evolution has been amazing but im glad that all the gems and humans actually have grown from who they were before

Blue bird- I dont think this episode was supposed to be about the gems. I think the focus was meant to be on Greg. This sets up how important his hair is to him. And this is answered when they go to the grandparents house. But I remember after that episode I wandered why the heck he mourned his hair so bad. And now I know it was because it symbolized his freedom and independence. Lapis episode- this one i believe wasn't about the 2 lapis they confronted but to demonstrate to us the growth that our lapis lazuli has accomplished. A better understanding of where she stands now. How she has gotten better but still had some in internal struggles. Which again is trama that isnt gone but getting better.

In all honesty, I think the intention of Bluebird and the Lapis was to establish the fact that there will always be people out there that hate Steven; just like how irl, there will always be people that hate you for their own twisted reasons, and there isn't always something you can do about that So I'm glad they didn't end the series like "Literally everyone is redeemed and loves Steven", because that wouldn't be realistic

I believe the point of Bluebird was to show that A) There will always be people out their who aren't going to like you and B) Steven needs to know he can't fix that. He can't make anyone like him by solving their problems. He can't help everyone, steps towards his need to focus on helping himself.

I personally loved the shows ending. Many of my favorite shows such as Adventure time and Regular show have this overarching feeling of sadness because it’s the end of an era ( well at least in my opinion ), but in Steven universe future it gave me a feeling of hope. Change is scary, but change and growth is a part of being human. I did feel sad, but I know that there will be much in store for Steven and his life.

For the Homeworld episode, I actually noticed a few things. - During the part where Steven is in control of White, I believe he wasn't talking mostly to her. I believe he was also talking to his Gem half. - Also for the part of where he's in control, the relationship between him and his Gem Half, with how Steven is seeking to control and even now hurt his other half, reminds me of Malachite, heavily. - The closer he gets to looking like a Diamond, the more you hear a Diamond theme playing in the background, that is slowly overtaking his own Theme. For the whole "Everything's Fine" episode, the way he's acting, believing he can fix everything, of how he's perfectly fine, of how he can make everything better, is almost a reflection of White Diamond Pre-Change Your Mind. He's pretty much an unstable version of her. And when he calls himself a fraud, I think he comes to the realization during that moment, and then he ends up thinking he's worse that White. That he's a Monster. During that scene, you can also hear his theme in the background, which has become essentially a Diamond-esque theme now, become more and more unstable the more he comes to his realization. And during "I am My Monster", the Corrupted Diamond theme, with pretty much no pieces of Steven's theme there anymore, is a great touch to the episode. And if he stayed Corrupted, I'm absolutely certain that the entire Galaxy, through the Galaxy warps, would be in grave danger of being destroyed, with countless lives being snuffed out. Even though he's corrupted, Steven is still a Diamond, and arguably the strongest Diamond with the best and strongest defense and offense abilities. Being able to both resist but also turn the other Diamond's abilities against them. His sheer size, power, and his skin looking like it's made of his impenetrable shields, in the form of scales. And he might even have the ability to use fire, even breathe it. He was a walking Galaxy-level Apocalypse. If he wasn't stopped, if they didn't get his attention turned towards them. Beach City, Little Homeschool, Empire City, all of Earth would be reduced to rubble. And with the Galaxy Warps, no colony would be safe.

I don't think Bluebird's and the Lapis's were unnecessary. They existed to show that not everyone was happy with the new system, with the new era. Even though the diamonds, who ruled the whole universe, changed, those gems didn't. Volleyball was also important, it contributed to Pearl's story and Pink's story as well. We saw that Pink was never that perfect gem we always thought she was. That's what I think.
