Angel and Frost take on the whole village in the ultimate shoot off. Only in this film will you see a grandma using a machine gun!
Hot Fuzz (2007) SYNOPSIS: As a former London constable, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf (Nick Frost) for a partner. However, when a series of grisly accidents rocks Sandford, Nick smells something rotten in the idyllic village.

One thing I like about about this is that, even though it usually seems stupid and contrived when the villains are all terrible shots, in the context of this film it actually makes sense, because the villains are all middle-aged to elderly little Englanders.

The shopkeeper falls over because people run into her. The flowerpot falls on the innkeepers head because it is loose. The old man loses his toe because the gun went off accidentally The old man with the trenchcoat falls over because the barrells accidentally got dislodged Skinner gets impaled because he trips and slips Edgar Wright you are a fucking genius

"I may not be a man of god, but I know Right, and I know Wrong, and I have the good grace to know which is which" That line resonates with me, so many use religion as either an excuse to do wrong, or say they're good people by default just by being religious. I'm an Atheist and yet I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, there's no religious reason for it, I just don't want to, I don't need promises of a reward to be good, I just be good.

i am currently writing an essay about cinematography of a film of my choosing, his was my favourite film growing up. writing a piece based on this scene. the director uses so many references throughout the film tyo older classic action films. the lighting and editing are amazing here. really shows the contrast of how the villagers throughout the movie knew Simons character was onto them. amazing work from the director once again. he never disappoints.
