I wish they would actually use his brother in more stuff. His power seems cool in that he was born with a different mutation than wolverine but still similar in some ways. If they do bring him back they could maybe change a few things here and there and make him as cool and as interesting as wolverine. I legitimately believe so.

It would have been cool if Xavier was in his body because of the Onslaught incident. And Wolverine's brother, John, had his mutant powers activate when he was shot by the family. Why? Because the family thought he was a demon when his claws manifested. His "death" was his body rebooting with the regenerative ability. And Sabertooth was fucking Dog goddamnit! Weapon X just messed with his brain so much he only remembers his anger toward Wolverine and small little facts. And Wolverine left the X Men because despite his best attempts, the X Men sold out and became mercenaries for the government. And finally, John tells him everything, including the fact that John was the mastermind behind Weapon X. John hates mutants and himself because he views them as a blight on the world. Mutants have overtaken the planet and because of so many unchecked powers, the world is unable to advance. They're too busy rebuilding. In the very end, John and Wolverine fight over ideals. John has a virus that has a 50/50 shot of either killing mutants or destroying their mutations. Wolverine wants humanity to have their own choice of self-destruction or redemption. Wolverine sustains horrible injuries because he can't heal like he used to. He kills John, takes the time to grieve over his family and his life. His last thoughts are that it might have been better to release the virus; another in a lifetime of regret and lost chances. He doesn't know. If he was on the wrong side, he just doomed the world. Oh well. He's the best at what he does.

Would you guys consider doing the run of Wolverine Origins? (plural) It's the comic that dealt with Wolverine having all of his memories back, and the main villain feels like Marvel trying to get the 'big manipulator of wolverine' character right. It features ideas like 'What if Wolverine's actually not a mutant and instead all the Wolverineish Mutants were their own sub-race?' (he's not, it's just a big fakeout that's resolved in a throwaway line) Or, 'What if Wolverine had a son' which is Daken who's a young, Japanese Wolverine who's actually kid of cool depending on who writes him. Or 'What if Wolverine was being controlled by another person during WW1 and 2? and this person also bankrolled Weapon X' It's an interesting book, and is basically a modern day sequel to Origin in as far as just filling in all the gaps between then and now (sometimes a little too neatly, but it's fun) Unlike this book, it also feels like it's a proper Wolverine book, with a strong focus on Japan, Madripoor, Sabretooth and Weapon X, as well as using some newer continuity with the inclusion of the Winter Solider in the section set in (cold war era) Japan. As I said before it's almost a bit too neat, but it had some great ideas, and since you've done Origin, i'd definitely recommend having a look

Quick question for Sal, what's one of your favorite uninterrupted runs in Marvel or DC comics?, in terms of a run that made it through to the end and had a proper ending and wasn't just cancelled before it had run it's course. Mine would be Peter David's 2005 relaunch of X-Factor which somehow lasted 9 years on the strength and popularity of the B-characters that tend to inhabit his books. That book is up there on my 'wish to god it would be on back issues' list, but then I realized you'd somehow have to go through 21 volumes, and it's hard to express how good it is without reading what is the best noir/soap opera/comedy run that exists.
