This practice has saved my life for deep pain and suffering inflicted by very unhealthy people around me during my last pregnancy . I was able to cultivate compassion for them , transform my suffering into love and now have a thriving 2 year old daughter . Stress kills babies and she is the MOST compassionate and loving soul . And 3 years later I’m revisiting it again , and will continue to pass the his work into all of my children and use to help continue the work on myself so I may help transform humanity . I Thank you Thay with the highest form of gratitude and all of plum village for the work that you do .

The stuff, yes yes yes, -mindfulness, yes by nature mankind is countered by mindfulness + Mindlessness in practical based on survival affairs in day to day life, and theoretical mindfulness becomes naturally mindlessness as per the situation, because rajas, tamas, sat are understandably coexisting in mankind, so by practice, if something is created, it means not so strong.

1. be aware of your in-breath and out-breath 2. follow your in-breath and out-breath 3. be aware of your body 4. calm your body / release the tension with your out-breath 5. generate a feeling of joy / go home to the present moment 6. generate happiness 7. be aware of a painful feeling or emotion that is coming up in me / don't try to cover up or run away from the pain inside / embrace the pain tenderly: "Hello, my Little Pain. I know you are there. I will take good care of you." (Whether that is anger or fear or jealousy or despair.) Our pain, our suffering is our baby. The energy of mindfulness generated by our practice is the Loving Mother. Be there for your painful feeling or emotion. Continue to breathe and to walk in such a way that the energy of mindfulness continues to be produced. You recognize the pain and you embrace the pain tenderly. 8. calm down the pain like a Mother holding the baby (helping it suffer less) / recognize and hold that energy of fear and anger: A good practitioner tries to be with the pain. She knows how to handle a feeling of pain and a strong emotion.

Point 1- 4 I can follow. Also 7 But 5 and 6, "create" these feelings? I think if you do the first 4 these feelings will arise - or not. To" create" is already Ego, is already "doing" something to "reach" a certain state.

When I was a kid I remember enjoying my life more deeply/fully and this was something that I could not feel anymore for some reason as an adult. The last I time went to a forest for a walk I focused on the breathing and present moment and I could feel this pleasant feeling one more time for the first time since a very long time without worrying about anything, that was quite extraordinary. Thank you, I will keep practicing.

It’s his “door” metaphor in action.

Here is the thing that I see going on with this that I have Never read about...Your subconscious mind is a powerful force to be reckoned with. It makes up around 95% of your brain power and handles everything your body needs to function properly, from eating and breathing to digesting and making memories= most of the time your subconscious mind is in control of your breathing ....When you Take Control of it...that Door between your subconscious mind and conscious mind cracks Open...much like it does when you first awake...and thru Breathing and either filling yourself up with everything your can Blow that Door Out and Reach Enlightenment or you can Empty yourself Completely and the Door will Fall in and you can have Enlightenment....- when a Person who was asked why they still Mediate after they have reached Enlightenment...they Answered ...Because Enlightenment is TEMPORARY ^

This is a humble request from sri lanka .We should pay our homage to the noble triple gem before starting any buddhist religious activity to show our gratitude to sacred Lord Buddha as we all buddhists owe a lot for his greatest discovery .Without his tremendous effort for uncounteble aeons to find the four Noble Truths we never hear this great Damma .So pl worship sacred triple gem before start ur sermons as it is a best way to collect merits to everyone who listen to damma .Sadu sadu sadu Nibbanam paraman sukan Nibbana is the greatest happiness .Buddhism gives explanation to all universal phenomena . May you all gain highst seela samadi praggna as all enlightened arahants Sadu Sadu sadu 🧡☸️

Rosemary, . Reduce negative thoughts to relax. Its quite simple with a little determination. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 10-15 minutes or more. Let thoughts come. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Whenever you are free during the day or night before sleep sit or lie down still for a few minutes and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Do the above practice daily to have a good life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.
