Fun fact, my grandmother (who was a teenager in the 50’s) would unscrew the Speedometer cable and take the family car out for a joyride. This is because unscrewing the speedometer also would prevent the odometer for moving in that car. She’d come home and my great-grandparents would never know the car left.

I lived in two houses built before the age of plastic and both still stand. One was primarily a bare metal build (with ceramic insulators at junctions) and one was primarily an asbestos weave. Love this old Woody, beautiful beast, glad it's getting driven rather than just sitting around. I'm wondering if using an auto-electrician wouldn't be cheaper n faster at replacing all the wiring than using the Wizard to do the same job. After all that is what they do day in day out, and the more often you do something the more efficient you get at it. Replacing all the wiring and connecting everything up is a huge job so any time saved has got to help.

Great car. I'm looking forward to seeing it sorted. My advice, unless money is no issue, don't go crazy on the "vintage hot rod" stuff. You may end up with WAY more problems. "If it ain't broke, dont fix it" is a real good motto in this case. As Always, May God Bless you and yours!
