Seriously tho, Speed Metal; when it came to showcasing powers, was mostly just Wally flexing with his own against The Batman Who Laughs, not Dr. Manhattan's. Which is impressive considering TBWL, like mentioned, went from being universal to multiversal and who even when universal defeated two of DC's most powerful beings, the Spectre and the Phantom Stranger (both of which are still bs since he did it with one simple spell for both). However, this honestly just supports my theory that Wally will lose Dr. Manhattan's powers, but who will still come out on top with his own because this Crisis is effectively also Wally's redemption story.

Which is fine, it's just a cosmetic upgrade at this point tbh, unless he actually uses it in Death Metal #4 and does something REALLY impressive because Wally himself is already so OP and broken you're going to need something big to convince the reader. Especially after something as big as him stopping time temporarily, with HIS own power, on the TBWL (who has his own Dr. Manhattan-like powers now) and his army of Dark Multiversal speedsters. There's also the fact that in Flash Forward he was described as being ' the fastest being in the multiverse,' 'unmoored' and 'a singularity,' so if DC do try to finally explain to us what those last two exactly mean there's a back-up reserve for making Wally currently the biggest heroic heavy-hitter again with no need for milking Dr. Manhattan's image. 2. Fair, it's still a bunch of bollocks though that TBWL was able to get the drop on them because they both have omniscience. And I'm just saying that TBWL needs to be at least universal if he wants to avoid being erased from existence from the Spectre or the like because the Spectre has done it before on Darkseid, but The Presence intervened to undo it (unfortunately). 3. I wouldn't say I'm either lowballing or highballing him because it's a literal thing that he has Dr. Manhattan-like powers now and is working to get Wally's to get to that highball point so he can take on Perpetua. In addition, TBWL is Death Metal's main antagonist; not Perpetua, which means he needs to be powerful just for the sake of tension.
