THE Fluffiest Pancakes Ever
DRY INGREDIENTS: Stir these together with a whisk
2 cups all purpose flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
WET INGREDIENTS: Whisk in a separate bowl
2 eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until the dry ingredients are covered with the wet ingredients but DO NOT BEAT. It’s okay for this to have lumps. The lumps are crucial for the fluffiness. Let this rest for 10 minutes.
After the batter has set for 10 minutes, spray your griddle and set to 350°.
Use a 1/4 cup measure to scoop the batter onto the hot griddle. Cook for three minutes, then flip the pancakes over and cook for an additional two minutes.
This will make 10 to 12 pancakes.
Homemade Maple Syrup
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon maple flavoring
Put the water, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for one minute. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and the maple flavoring.
Once the syrup has completely cooled, store in an airtight jar in your refrigerator and reheat as needed later.

I agree church is important, however with so many church's turning their backs on true doctrine, be careful not to be mislead. The bible is very clear on issues. Many church's are leading people astray. There is no room for compromise on the word of God!!!! If your church is comprising on doctrine don't walk run.

We are married 53 years and 7 months. We LOVE pancakes. Jesus is our savior and has blessed our marriage all our years together. We were told we had a 5% chance of having children and God blessed us with a daughter and a son. Hubby has survived 2 brain bleeds and did not have any bad effects from them. God cleared up my lungs last year when I had what looked like spider webs over both upper lobes. The doctors did not know what it was, they knew it wasn't cancer or covid. After a year it is now gone. At the age of 39 I had a heart attack and survived it. I'm now 75. Thank you God for so many many blessings in our lives and for answered prayers. I pray people are encouraged by your words to seek God. My favorite verse is Matthew 6 :33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. I was 17 when I sought God, and I met my husband 2 years later. God has blessed me more than I say on this platform, as there is not enough room. Thank you God for your mercy, love, and salvation.

I hear ya. We're in the Northeast (New England) and calling that maple syrup would sure have tongues clacking around these parts! LOL I grew up in the South and never understood the difference between the two. When I moved to New England after getting married, I was "schooled" on it right quick! LOL It's kinda like telling a Southerner that Kraft Mac & Cheese is the same as or better than homemade! Ha! To be honest, I see nothing wrong with "pancake" syrup, especialy in this economy. But I have found that pure maple syrup tends to be cheaper up here, than it is in most other areas of the country, which is obviously due to how available it is. And... I have to admit that after having the real deal for so long now, I'd have a bit of a hard time getting used to the pancake syrup again. I guess we're pretty spoiled. Those pancakes sure look great, though!

I was looking for a recipe for pancakes just the other day, and you made this video. Those pancakes look delicious, and I am going to try them. I usually eat Aunt Jemima pancakes, and I never knew how she got started with making pancakes. Also, the Holy Spirit used you about admonishing us to get into a church. I have not been to church since covid and currently attend virtually, but it's nothing like fellowshiping with the saints in church. I miss that and I was talking about finding a church home this week. Please pray that God leads me to where I need to be. God bless you and your wife, and may the blessings of God continue to be upon you.

When you went through the ingredient list at the beginning, you listed vanilla as part of the ingredients for the pancakes. When you listed the ingredients for the pancake syrup, you moved the vanilla extract to the syrup area...and you never moved it back to the pancake area. So when you were putting the ingredients together for the pancakes, you left the vanilla out.

As far as church, I grew up in an amazing church family and have continued to stay in church in each place we have moved. Tom, you're right! Melissa, you're right too! Churches are made up of people and no one is perfect. I've always been told that if you find the perfect church, don't join it, because then it won't be perfect anymore. Of course, we know we won't find one, so it's not a problem. I'm thankful for the church family but even more thankful for the family of God due to what Christ did on the cross for us! I think that 7 A:M: may have been just a tad bit to early for you two. Now I'm wondering if either of you two figured it out before my comment here and just figured to not mention it. LOL Well, your ingredients say to add 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla into your wet pancake ingredients. I didn't see you doing that unless someone accidentally edited it out by mistake. Thats OK because I'm sure that the pancakes were delicious without it. I'm going to cook up a batch later for breakfast tomorrow and to freeze whatever is left. But in my mind I'm going to try to remind myself to add that 1/2 teaspoon full of vanilla. No matter what I always enjoy watching your videos and recipes. Good job Mellisa, you keep him young.😊 My husband loves to make waffles on Sundays. I'm going to get him to try this recipe. Thank you Deb, Tom & Melissa.❤

I tried your recipe to the tee and the batter was so runny. I desperately added some flour but still paper thin. The recipe called for vanilla flavoring added to wet ingredients. You accidentally skipped this on video and I didn’t and I can’t believe that would have made that much difference.
@comesitatmytable9044
@comesitatmytable9044 4 ай бұрын
We did forget the vanilla but that would not have made the difference in the thickness of yours. Please double check the amounts you used. It sounds like you used too much of at least one of the wet ingredients. The recipe calls for one fourth of a cup of vegetable oil, two eggs, one and one half cups of milk, and half teaspoon of vanilla. That's not enough wet ingredients to make it thin . The dry ingredients are 2 cups AP flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, one teaspoon of salt, one half teaspoon baking soda. I feel really terrible that you had a bad experience with these. Ours were absolutely delicious and not too thin at all.

Great advise Tom. And loved the Aunt Jenina story. It reminded me of when my son was born 55 yrs ago at Winter Haven Hospital. The Gerber Co was scouting for a new face for the cereal boxes and asked us if we’d like to enter becuz our son was such a beautiful baby!! Well his Dad declined due to suspicions like what happened to the Lindbergh baby. Would have made for a college fund tho.

I love pancakes. Those look delicious! I only had one comment that although. They have a different name; I think “Big Daddy,” pancakes are the fluffiest pancakes. They probably don’t count because They are named differently and are finished, usually in the oven. I made 1 when My oldest Son was 3 and Wr split it Because it was sooo huge.
