We are to the point where almost everything you buy from a grocery store isn't even real food. Most everything is created in a building/warehouse. I am here to prove to you there are options to grow your own milk, eggs, and meat in your backyard starting NOW.

I went to a real once and ordered haddock but after the first bite I told that owner that this was definitely not haddock, she went and checked out the box she had just bought and sure enough it was tilapia. I came home and looked it up and found out that it is farm raised ,grew up in a fishing community and I had never heard of it

I was diagnosed with dairy allergy as a baby. The only dairy milk I could have was raw milk right out of the cow. Thankfully granddaddy still had couple milk cows from dairy farm days. Even now regular milk makes me break out in hives and have to have an epi shot. No cheese, ice cream , no dairy at all. I have to be careful what I eat out or at friends. Raw milk tastes so different and delicious. I always got it after grandmother separated the cream off or the milk after making the butter.

This is interesting. Can you still have raw milk? What’s the difference? For me, it’s in the processing and added vitamins that are sourced from corn in processed milk. I actually have a corn allergy instead of dairy, although I cannot tolerate most milk and many dairy products.

In Canada it’s illegal for any farmers to sell the raw milk to us, we’ve approached so many but they refuse. My entire city lot is a garden, I also grow micro greens in winter, I can, dehydrate. Looking for raw milk, grass fed book. Chickens are illegal with huge fine here if caught. For now we’re stuck in the city and want out, properties are so expensive. Please pray God will answer our prayers for a small piece of land out of here

I have been raising chickens for eggs for about a year now. I decided to look into what they do to eggs in the grocery store since I don't use those anymore. I was so shocked. I recommend looking it up you will be surprised. I am so glad I have my own eggs. We are about to start processing birds for meat for the very first time. If all goes well, we will hatch our own chicks and then use the roosters for meat birds and keep the girls for eggs. We have two different roosters so we have two little flocks I figure we can have next generation chickens and mix them later for a third generation.

I was already putting in a garden, I've now expanded it. Hoping to grow enough this year to can. And we chickens for eggs and dairy goats for milk. Now when I buy chickens I buy a dual purpose bird so we have meat and eggs and figure that we'll rotate the flock out every year. And finally I think I have the family on board for rabbits. You can go to your local rancher and pay less for meat. You can have several people buy what you all agree in on a cow and the ranchers will butcher it and split up the meat for you. I would can it instead of freeze it, and it will save you space and it is in a jar ready to eat and you don't worry about your meat going bad when you lose power.

Love watching you Steivers! Your so right about what people are eating these days. I remember when my dad bought 5 acres of land in the Panhandle of Florida and said YOU CAN LIVE OFF THE LAND. Well we did till we were old enough to leave home. The 5 acres is still in the family but it's in an estate. Whether my sister and I fight for what belongs to us that's up in the air. The property was stolen from us by my brother who committed suicide and is buried on the property. So, maybe you see and understand my comment. In the State of Florida property can never be sold if a family member is buried on it. Anyhow, living on the farm we had a huge garden, milk cow and meat cows, chickens, goat's and my horse. What I learned as a teenager I still grow a garden. I Don have room for any animals if I did I would get some. I'm 65 yes old and I know how to run a farm. That has brver left me and I would love to have a farm again before I pass away. Who knows if it will ever happen. So, in the meantime I continue to grow a garden which I love. It's not a chore it's a passion. But, one thing I want to ask is DOES JEN EVER FREEZE DRY GREEN TOMATOES FOR FRIED GREEN TOMATOES?? I don't have a freeze fryer but I do put up green tomatoes after I batter them and put them in the freezer. Their good when fried but fresh is better. Anyhow, ty for sharing your information and I totally agree with you! Have a blessed day!!

URGENT MUST READ!!! Hearing this reminds me that week before last my husband came home with milk from the dollar store my seven year old loves his milk well he was eating Oreos and dunking them so he didn’t taste it till he went to get a drink of it when he was done eating the cookies and he tells me I can’t drink does it don’t taste good I said well just throw it away didn’t think anything of it well later that night I go to fix the glass and I take a drink and I am like OMG what the heck is wrong with this milk!!!! It was a whole milk but tasted very water down and it taste like chemicals with a plastic taste it was very off and indescribable!!! I called up the store where we purchased it here in Mississippi and I alerted them and I also called the milk company and reported it but it’s so happened it was the weekend so I had to leave a message but you wouldn’t know of course no call back!!! Also at this point in time the farmers and homesteaders don’t have to spray their plants with chemicals they have been spraying the air for sometime and they have no problems not hiding it telling the American people that they are spraying the air and it does stunt the growth of vegetable plants but the big kicker is it also makes you lethargic and other things!!! If you look up Doug and Stacy‘s Homestead he posted a video and he also plays the video on his channel that shows the political meeting and them stating that yes that is what they’re doing this is not hearsay this is facts, you can look this up or go to Dog and Stacey. God Bless

The yogurt I am making requires ultra pasteurized half and half, to grow other strains not found today to heal our guts. I prefer raw milk which is $7.00 per quart delivered. Learning how to make cheese and accidentally made cream cheese making yogurt. 😂 So good.

I've been saying all this since the 1970. My dad born 1922 Germany 🇩🇪 said the same thing. He'd show me wild Herb's to eat. We ate clean meat from German Butcher in the back private cold room as a child. I am VEGAN. Eat in SEASON'S from YOUR LOCAL AREA FARMER'S. THANK YOU 🀄 JESUS.

I grew up on wild meat and a backyard organic garden. When I started eating store bought stuff, 28 years ago, my health immediately started going down hill. Everything in the grocery store is suspect of poison for me.

Makes me think of the cereal aisle-how many more do they need? There’s 10 kinds of Chex, cheerios, all of it is fake. Once you stop eating the ultra processed foods, and then taste it, you’ll notice the heavy chemicals.

We waited several years to move out to the farm my husband grew up on. No one was around us. 2 yrs after we moved here Mennonite families started coming into area. Our property joins with farm grounds that others offered for sal. The Mennonite put up a huge house huge machine shed , work building, and a massive building that holds…20,000 chickens laying eggs. Sad.

Just started buying chicken and eggs from a local farmer. Had to give up eating beef. My digestive system began swelling and hurting. ALL THE BEEF. Just found a cattle farm where I can pick the cow for him to finish raising and processing for me. We'll see how that goes. NOT CHEAP! Our HOA just passed that we can have up to 10 chickens but no rooster. (too loud. lol) I do have a garden. Not on your level yet. I have 1 1/2 acres. I love quail. Even the eggs are delicious. LOVE all your videos. Have learned a lot in the last year.

Build your chicken coop with suburban camouflage. Is it a she shed or a chicken coop? Nobody has to know. Also, make sure to share generously with neighbors. It's hard to report someone for HOA violations when you are complicit with the "crime" aka receiving eggs/milk

Everything you spoke on is 100% correct ! I was raised in the country eating fresh chicken , working rabbit boxes , hunting quail , dove , butchering hogs , helping with stuffing sausage , prepping the meat for freezing , working in the gardens , etc, etc . I'm here to tell you , most people today have never tasted the pure flavor from home raised meats & poultry or wild game & fowl . It's incredible & so much healthy benefits bc there aren't an hormones or chemicals added or administered to them at any time. Everything was natural the way God intended it to be !! The food they were given was natural not fortified , vitamin enriched , nothing . So you got healthy meat animals & poultry. I miss my country life , but I am prepping and gardening the best I can on my property that's on the out skirts of the city . God bless y'all for all your tireless efforts to bring us the knowledge we need to be aware , to be prepared and to survive self sustainably. But always remember that it is through the awesome provision of the Lord Jesus Christ that were blessed with what we need. Thank you ! 😇🙏✝️🕊️♥️

Unfortunately, I've found that no one around here will "help" without payment, and I'm already so stretched that I can't afford fencing to have more than chickens in a run and coop. I'm looking into meat chickens, but that means cages that I don't have or the money for. I wish people would help.

You can also sell live rabbits for 15-20 bucks right now. Prices are going up. You don't even have to kill them and skin them. Just sell them. Also, you could feed your cats and dogs the rabbits. And you could use their poop for your garden or fruit trees, compost. Also, you can sell chicks for a pretty high price as well. You could even make a homemade incubator that works very well. Look it up on KZbin. PVC chicken tractors. Very easy to move. Worm farm. If you sprinkle biochar into your composed it will not smell. And get one of those nice compose rings. These are things you could do with no one paying attention or even caring. Actually making things look nicer around your house.

Zach, I hear you and agree wholeheartedly regarding the food and better to homestead and grow your own. But for, people, like me who live in a city and try to eat “clean”, how do we ensure that we purchase organic that’s really grown without chemicals etc..? I would love for someone like you to advise us city dwellers how and where we can get food that’s clean and healthy for us. You don’t know if it should be organic, grass fed, or whatever. I live in an HOA community and not allowed to grow food - not enough room on our property.

We have raised rabbits, chickens, pigs, goats, and quail. We started with a few chickens, then we got goats, then we got the others. We get pigs as piglets and raise them up for the meat, hatch our own chickens (we butcher the extra roosters for the freezer), and this year we plan to butcher a few goats (wethers) and see how we like the meat. If we like it we may use it to replace the beef. I make mozzarella cheese, soap, and yogurt from the milk. I also started my own calendula flowers to make salve. Watching your channel made me realize i could do the salve and it was so simple. Calendula is awesome for my poison oak (highly allergic and can get it 2nd hand transfer).

New to your channel but what a blessing to have found you guys. Such great advice and we definitely want to do more even though we are at our 2nd year of growing a garden but you "in this video" basically gave me the confirmation I was looking for into getting goats and chickens for the milk, eggs, and meat to go with our garden. Only problem I see is we live inside the village "city limits" but I'm still gonna look more into the rules and regulations on what all we can still get until we can get further out into the country again. Anyway, thanks for all the great info and God bless.

We have our garden, we have our egg layer's and our meat birds. Just got done putting together a pig area and hunting for feeder pigs.... we moved from the city to 1acre property.... I've actually started asking my neighbors that have more property if I could rent it so I could get a cow. With the condition that they can have half the milk or have the meat when it comes time in return. I'm hoping they'll say yes..
