I've been driving one of these for over 2 years now and it's fantastic. I had the 1.6 4 cylinder version before which was fun but the ride was very, very firm. This new model feels so much more civilised and the noise from the 3 cylinder engine sounds so much better than the previous one. My real world MPG is around 40. You can do better that that if you drive it sensibly, but then you don't drive this kind of car like that.

I have a mk 8 st and can honestly say it is awesome its a lot of fun ive drove it to Scotland twice now first time with the wife second time by myself, second time was great never stopped smiling and was good on fuel as well

I’m thinking aboit ordering one, but since my dealership has no STs in stock I cannot test drive it.. My biggest concern is if it feels fast enough and if the sound is loud and “bang and poppy” enough

A K yes it’s fast enough and if not they are remapping very well up to 260bhp on a stage 1 revo and in standard trim they are putting some very good time s in at the track exhaust is very good nice noise and not droney

I’ve driven a fair few quick cars but nearly all of them cannot hold a candle to this car! It’s so engaging, everything from driving position to the sheer chuckability around corners to the surprising amount of torque on offer(even in stock form). It’s a sensational little hot hatch, will be remembered in years to come as one of the best cars Ford ever made.

I have a GT86 with 1500 kms on it. It's like new. I had a panda 100hp that now i have sold and ordered a new MK8.5 Fiesta ST full optional and in frozen white.....Now I'm ready for the next 10 years with a rear and front end amazing cars. I'm not a electric car addicted....

Best Hot Hatch and Ford once again is depriving us Americans from enjoying one. With that being said, that little ST looks quite spectacular head on. The rear needs a bit of work but nothing the aftermarket can fix.

If I ever want to drive a Ford it would probably be a Shelby gt500 from '07-'11, '02-'04 mustang Mach 1, or the high performance Ford focus st hatchback with some cool rims along with coil over sport suspension and maybe a wide body kit. I did hear that Ford stopped making cars and only make mustangs but hey I might be W-R-O-N-G.

Probably referring to the Polo GTI, which is the closer competitor to the Fiesta ST. Sadly, we won't get either in America. (On the plus side, though, our Mexican Golf GTIs are pretty cheap here compared to the rest of the world.)

anAmishGuy I bought mine after I found that out. Although I will say she’s holding up real well after 4 years and 53000 miles. So maybe there’s not a drop in quality after all. Mostly robots making cars these days so it makes sense really.

Both 😂 you've obviously got Dunton, Dagenham and Warley where most of Ford UK's employees work and who will likely be driving these on the Ford Employee car scheme, but then you've also got the typical Essex boy racers in their 'fast Fords' that south Essex is well known for, a tradition that goes all the way back to the old Escorts and Capri's. 😂

I’m sorry, but I just don’t get the fascination with the fiesta in the uk. The rest of the world (including the us) think it’s trash and nobody buys it or would be caught dead being seen in one. I drove one last year and I couldn’t get what all the fuss was about. I love Chris Harris, but let’s be realistic...he and literally nobody else would ever in the real world choose the fiesta over the sv.
