Caroline was so humble and unknowingly funny. No ego or self entitlement bless her, she just went with the flow and just oozed comedy. She didn't overtalk or want the spotlight, which is so rare, she was a very present comedian who just made people laugh even when she wasn't trying to. God I wish we had her here today, all the greats seemed to have left us!!!

Interesting story about the bit in the interview where Frank says to Caroline he's thinking of starting drinking again - Eric Clapton was watching the show and was very concerned about Frank saying that. He called Frank and gave him support and advice about dealing with addiction, and later invited him to his Millenium Eve party.

Frank does a great poetry podcast these days - I was never much into poetry or a huge fan of Frank but his reflections and analyses of various poetic works are really insightful - I wouldn't have thought I'd become so inspired to think about poetry. There was a hint of Frank's interest in word-smithing when he quotes Kenny Rogers' The Gambler there.

I was a fan of Skinner in his early stand up days and thought Fantasy Football was brilliant too but tuned out when he did unplanned with Baddiel and this show. Anyway, I was here to see the lovely Caroline but what a dreadful interview by Skinner. Barely asked her anything other than when they met and her drinking. He must have known she attempted suicide the year before this was broadcast and didn’t ask her anything about her masterpiece, the Royle Family. RIP Caroline, you beautiful, funny, talented lady.
