I would like an HD-2D remake of persona 1 and 2 like they did with dragon quest. I think if they do it right it could fit very well and make for an interesting change in visuals without having to change to the more "modern persona look", which isn't bad but it would make them feel more different than the persona most people know. I haven't played a lot of persona 1 and 2 so I don't know how well the HD-2D style would fit but that's just my idea of how they could make it

@@demifolk8940 Reload took around 4.5 years. It's the same team from Scramble. However, P4 reused a ton of assets from P3, which likely shaves off halfa year. In those 4 years, you can play Royal, Scramble, Metaphor, and Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance

Most excited about Metaphor. I've dabbled with some Megaten games as well as persona 5, but I've never managed to get through one. Metaphor seems to be heading in a direction more to my liking with some action based combat, class systems, getting out of the modern /post apocalyptic settings.

I'm most looking forward to Metaphor:ReFantasio, but my hype for what they'll do with Persona 6 is a very close second. Never been much of a fan of SMT. Played 5 a bit, but got stuck on Matador (or maybe they called him death in the SMT game?) and quickly lost interest. But Persona used to be my number one jrpg series for the longest time, though being the fan of worldbuilding that I am, recently lost its spot to the Trails series from Falcom. But loses ONLY to Trails, leaving the competition in the dust.

I'm interested in Metaphor, but I'm most excited for Persona 6. I'm also of the camp that thinks P1, P2, and P4 all need Remakes, not Remasters. They could get away with a P4 Remaster, but P1 and P2 need to be Remade from the ground up. I'd want them to retain the identity of the originals, but with the presentation of the modern games.

We don't need another Golden. P4 needs to be brought up to P3R standard via a Remake. They could squash P1, P2 IS + EP into a single game or atleast both P2 into one. Remaking them is a pretty big challenge without major overhauls in what's very much dated by modern Persona standards.

@_fawkes Sure, it'd be a big undertaking, but the older games desperately need Remakes. They wouldn't draw in many new(er) Persona fans if it was just the original games with updated graphics, while P4 Remastered would be viable. I want all 4 of the remaining games to have full on Remakes, but P4G could be brought up to P3R standards with a few adjustments/additions. Stuff that can be done in a Remaster would include... 1. Enhanced visuals(textures, models, etc). 2. Retry Battle option(getting sent back to the start of the floor is sometimes rough). 3. More Music. 4. More Costumes. 5. More Voiced Lines. All of these things would instantly make P4G even better without having to rebuild the entire game from the ground up.

I loved this game, but unfortunately paying another $70 for an enhanced re-release to feature a second character that most platforms had the capacity for stings. They will need to be a trade-off like free DLC or a discount if you have the original reload in your memory. Luckily Atlus games tend to go on sale pretty quickly, especially on Amazon and Steam.

Honestly, I’m very excited for the rumored remakes of the orignal two games. We never got a complete version of 2 and it would very cool to see that entry get a visual makeover and delivered as definitive package. I’d also love a 4 remake in the style of reload, I know we got golden 10 years ago but man 4 is my favorite game in the series. That sound track is killer. I’ve heard some rumblings(though it’s hard to know their validity) that p6 is going to be set around young adults who are trying to adjust to post school life. If that’s the case that would be amazing to show a different spin on the uniquely person style life sim elements.

I will always be the most hyped for a Persona 2 IS and EP remake/remaster, these games have just the right amounts of comedy, tragedy, maturity, and delightful characterization and character growth (!!!) to really hit home, and it's honestly so sad that so many Persona fans have never played or watched them, or in many cases haven't even heard of them. They deserve wayyy more love than what Atlus has given them by pretty much ignoring them (2010s EP never even got to the west!), and there's a pretty solid fanbase that would absolutely eat it up. My main concern however is how they would handle the gameplay and content of the games. The fight system of P2 is quite different from 3 4 and 5, and I don't know if changing it to mirror the 3D turn-based style of the newer games would help or hinder it at all, not to even mention the idea of romance routes trying to be integrated. For content, we've already seen a major change in Episode Aigis where Makoto's death is no longer a horrifying disintegration of tissue flesh and bone but now just a swarm of butterflies. Atlus has gotten less "risky" in what they have put into their games, and between literal Hitler as an antagonist and the only truly confirmed same-sex love interest in the mainline games (Jun Kurosu/Kashihara), I'm very concerned that they will start "censoring" this kind of thing out of fear. Anyway, sorry for the insane rant, tldr; Persona 2 peak 💯💯💯

p4g is my favourite game ever and while a remake would make it better i don't see a point, at the very least not for it being the next. when i played through the game after finishing p5r it felt almost exactly like royal to me. all a remake would really accomplish is improving graphics, turning the combat menu into designated button prompts, baton passes, and turn the normal difficulty of golden into the remakes merciless. sure, it would help some people that are too bothered by golden's graphics to have a go at p4, and i know i would still massively enjoy the game should it release, but given the fact that golden's content may not even be a part of the base game, you could argue that there really is zero proper reasons to incentivize anyone to play the remake over the original. the much more important releases would be persona 1 and 2. both games are pretty much locked away from modern consoles and only porting them would just seem like a lazy cash grab. atlus has a chance to turn p1 and p2 from games that people either consider fun or great but held back by their consoles into almost mainstream titles that people will speak much more fondly of. i see it kind of like the devil may cry franchise and which capcom should remake first after all the resident evil games that theyve done. 3 is the most popular, but also an incredible game that is barely held back by its hardware (also in this case the first game chronologically), dmc1 which is just a really fun game that is only held back by its hardware and extremely dated game design and could become an incredible game with a remake, or 2 which was an incredible failure and basically doesn't even have a real fanbase into something amazing that can simultaneously fill the huge gap that the game has left in the franchise's quality by entry. really it doesn't matter that atlus is making a p4 remake, it just don't think there is any reason at all to release it as soon as 2025 or 2026. i think its better suited for 2028 when we're all accustomed to whatever atlus blows our minds away with in p6, making p4 a far worse game by comparison, and being a 20 year anniversary release for it. (im pretty sure p4 released 2008 but i might be wrong here). sorry for ranting

Our calls for an adult themed Persona game seem to be falling on deaf years. Its time we moved on from high school to university after so many years. Use the previous cast from older games and progress their lives to college. The scope of story you can write in college life is broader than high school! Why not introduce a lecturer as one the main team members for starters?

Yeah no, I am not paying 35$ for episode Aigis. Don t ask me to support something that doesn't seem to interest me. I would rather have a game similar to Strange Journey again but we never got it. I ll wait for reviews and a sale and then I will give a chance.
