I like the channel, and like your Z as I have one of my own. Sorry, but I will never support or own an electric car. I dread the future, and I feel that the push "fad" for Electric vehicles will eventually come around and be a big mistake.

I appreciate the support man. As far as the whole electric car thing goes, there’re obvious benefits as well as downsides that need to be worked through. I personally don’t think it’s a fad, it can definitely seem like it at times however as the infrastructure continues to be built upon it will seem like less and less of a fad. I don’t think we will see the absence of gas cars on the road in our lifetime but in about 20 years or so, definitely a lack of them. Especially giving the charge prices, a 40% charge was just under $12 sooo that much better that $4 a gallon for 93.

@@FatalRPM you deserve the support, happy to do it. I've been using cordless tools for the last 30 years and all those batteries barely last me longer than 2 years. I know the battery technology is getting better but it is far from becoming a straight up replacement. Do you think a Tesla or any electric car will have the same lifespan of an 86' Z? It's sad to say but the cars nowadays are becoming disposable. I'm old school, I have my Z and a 66' Buick. The newest vehicle I own is my 2004 E150 Van, and I have no desire to replace any of them with something newer.

I don’t think that Tesla’s or any of the current electric cars will survive nearly as long as gas cars, in their current state. I do agree with you that they are not a straight up replacement. I feel like they are only getting disposable in the sense that it’s cheaper to replace the car than fix it. The good thing, however theoretical this may be, is if you get into a electric car with the mind set that you will have to replace the battery at some point. As time goes on and the technology improves or changes for the battery, making them “cheaper” and 86 the rare materials in them that make them basically half the price of the car then it can be justified. As I said though I agree in the fact that they are in no way at a point where they can 100% replace gas cars. *edited to change “cheap” to “cheaper”
