For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. Winning The Voice would have been impressive but the truth is so very much more impressive. The Voice is for amateurs. The Singer Show is a competition for professional established vocalists. Dimash was the youngest contestant ever on The Singer Show. Actually, Dimash has multiple full Concerts of material in Kazakhstan. I recommend "Durdaraz" from the Almaty, Kazakhstan Concert. This is a kazak folk song done with a rock twist. Not a big acrobatic song but full of culture and interesting stage "dressings". Dimash is Kazak but this performance was in Russia. He was raised to be fluent in both languages. The old USSR had control of 16 surrounding countries and Kazakhstan was one of them. In 1991, then the Soviet Union was overthrown, those 16 countries became 16 free republics. Dimash was born in 1994 and the taste and sting of what the old Soviet Union was still fresh on their tongues and in their minds so training the Kazak's to be able to communicate in Russian seemed a necessary thing for his family and many other Kazak families as well. The man in the white shirt on the front row, who stood up became a most integral part of Dimahs' life after that performance. He is the great Maestro, Igor (EEgor) Krutoy. He is considered one of the greatest composers in contemporary and classical music. (Currently worth well over 13 Billion dollars) He had composed for many great singers and while his main residence is in Florida, he is of Russian and Ukrain heritage. His father a Russian Jew, and his Mother an Orthodox Christian. Because of his great fame in that part of the world, he requested to meet with Dimash and Kanat, (father of Dimash). They gladly agreed and Igor offered to come out of a 25 year retirement to work with Dimash. He wanted to compose for Dimash and to promote him. His past work was impeccable, and they both gladly agreed to the arrangement. Igor had composed for Lara Fabian whom Dimash had a huge crush on since age 11 or 12, the late Dimitry Hvorostovsky, and many others. He flung Dimash from competing to huge concerts all over the world. The Russians do not generally give a standing ovation. Rather, they bring flowers.

Although well known in Central Asian countries and Russia, Dimash went to China in 2017 to compete as a wild card unknown in China at the professional singer competition called "The I Am Singer" tv reality show. (Not the Voice China, that was a mistake of the announcer in this video in Sochi.) He was not expected to last more than one or two episodes as each week the lowest voted singer was eliminated. But as history now shows us ... Dimash at the age of 22 yrs old became a superstar overnight after his first performance, SOS, on the first episode where he was the very first singer of the night. China went wild for Dimash and ever since then he is in high demand as a guest performer all over China. His solo concerts are completely sold out even to this day (except for that unfortunate break during the Covid quarantine). His special online concert during the quarantine on Jan 2021, the Dimash Digital Show 2021 was spectacular. Dimash donated $500,000 to ProjectCure which provides needed medical supplies to poor countries. ProjectCure made a special announcement about this donation since Dimash never publicizes his charity donations. Dimash's solo concerts are huge productions that draw Dears from all over the world. His most recent world concert tour called Stranger Tour began with the Almaty concert in Kazakhstan on September 23rd, 2022 and is on Dimash's KZbin channel in three parts. Over 3 1/2 hrs long, it's his most spectacular sold out concert yet (although all are fabulous) and drew well over 30,000 fans from 68 countries around the world. Well worth watching from start to finish. There are also multiple fancams of the concert (and all concerts by the way) that include even more footage from the concert than the official version which cuts out much of his audience interactions. Currently Dimash has had three international concert tours, D-Dynasty (2017/2018/2019), Arnau (2019/2020) and his current tour Stranger which is in progress (started in Almaty Kazakhstan then, Armenia in April 2023, Turkey on May 2023 then Malaysia on June 2023) next Stranger concert is in Hong Kong on Dec 23rd 2023 to be followed by Budapest Hungary on May 2024). We are hoping for the USA at some point in 2024 but at this point it might be 2025 due to his need for a large venue which are usually booked years in advance. His Arnau concert in New York on Dec 2019 (also on his channel) at the Barclay Center was sold out with 19,000 fans attending from 43 (it might be more) countries around the world. You will note the fan signs at this Sochi performance in 2018 include Chinese signs. Dimash was living in China during 2017, 2018, 2019 and early 2020 due to his heavy performance schedule in China. Dears from China flew in to Sochi for this performance along with many from Kazakhstan and around Russia. Listen for the yells of Dimaxi (Dimash's Chinese name) from the audience and you will know his Chinese Dears are in the audience. (LOL)

Dimash was the youngest performer, completely unknown in China, but already performing in various countries. After his first performance, he conquered China. I know many people who, after learning about Dimash's work, decided to get to know his country. There are people who are learning Kazakh, there are people who are learning to play the dombra, there are people planning to move to Kazakhstan, there are people who have already moved there. Dimash showed his country to the world through instruments, music, dancing at concerts performed by dancers from the Astana opera, providing information about the country's history, traditions, customs. Dimash does it beautifully and consistently. His fans visit the schools where he studied, visit cities, go to meetings with Dimash's teachers, etc.

You reacted to Olimpico already. This concert was in Kazakhstan. These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. Russian audiences are more reserved, but that doesn't mean they don't love Dimash. They just don't show it that way. Like I said, it's a cultural thing. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t won the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. Qairan Elim means Holy Land and is a prayer and an expression of fear about the fate of Dimash's country and the world in general. The MV is fantastic and he even directed it. The man, Renat Gaissin (a Kazakh composer) on the piano is also a friend of his and he has also written songs for Dimash such as River Of Love, an instrumental in which Dimash plays the dombra, and the song Òmir Òter (Ode to Life). Was für eine wundervolle Reaktion !😍. Bei diesem Aufritt begegnete er Igor Krutoy (der Mann mit dem weißen Hemd und der Glatze, der am Ende standing ovation gab ) , der daraufhin seinen Ruhestand beendete um mit Dimash zu arbeiten. Dimash actually came second in the Chinese show Singer 2017 to Sandy Lam (the annnouncer understandably got that wrong). The reference to 1998 is when the song 'Greshnaya strast' was first recorded by A'Studio.

A'Studio is a Kazakh/Russian band. The song was written in 1998. Sadly the original lead singer died in 2015, which Dimash is a huge fan of. And those 2 guys he shook the hand of, at the end, is from the band A'Studio. If you want a new song plus it be in Kazakhstan on Igor Krutoy's page is a song called Olympico. That concert was in Astana, Kazakhstan, the capital. The subs are only in Italian, but auto translate works. Igor Krutoy is the composer for Olympico and he was the gentleman standing and applauding at the end of this video. Igor was also the person who invited Dimash to sing on this stage.
