It was very shortsightedness for ubisoft but can you even blame them. The lost crown didn't even get a goty nomination let alone in any type of discussion. The most die hard metroidvania fans showcased their hypocrisy as well. The biggest hypocrite was penguinz0/moist critical.

Cool to see a VR game make your list. Shame Astro Bot didn't also have VR support considering it's functionally very similar to Astro Bot Rescue Mission on PSVR 1 (and even reuses the premise and some bosses). While it's highly unlikely, I also hope Batman Arkham Shadow gets released on other VR headsets, as I don't buy Meta's products. Great list overall. Definitely a few titles that had slipped under my radar.

So one left leaning person reviewed Stellarblade and called it the most mediocre game of 2024, and another put it on their best list of games that made the year.... But the other one who called it mediocre did say that if you pulled the music out of the game it would be good, they jsut felt that the music clashed with most moments in the game, like party music during scary sections etc.
