You wake up in a city, with no memories of what happened before. According to your savior, you washed up on shore and was taken to an inn. You have only one intended goal in this game. To become strong. Everything else is optional. Power in this game has many different varieties that often disregard raw damage values. You learn to take risks, and to avoid risks. How to judge what's worth it and what isn't; how to survive. The boss fights are just bullet sponges that do very little of anything and repeat the same 2 phases over and over. The worst offender of them is the Batman fight in which he doesn't even have a phase two and you don't really even fight him but instead a worse version of Scarecrow form Arkham ASYLUM. All you do is stand on platform as the "boss" stands in one location and throws minor inconveniences at you that you either shoot or jump over, all the while you're just holding the trigger with the reload animation being the only thing that stops you from melting him. And then to add insult to injury for these excuses of boss fights they repeat Flash for Brainiac and that's it, game over. And it's only like that to justify the live service garbage, for single player game, because I'm predicting that the seasons all end with another Brainiac boss fights but he'll just be a repeat of another member of the League with a bloated health bar until the last Brainiac that might actually have his own personalized style. That's garbage.

There's a difference in why a live-service game sucks in particular. It's because it has a limited shelf life. It will die eventually. You won't be able to play it for as long as you want, someday they will shut down the servers and you'll have a $60-70 paperweight in your game library. No it won't die in a month, but in a couple years, maybe 7 or 8 years down the line at most, it will be dead. And nobody will be able to play it. It doesn't matter if it's fun or not, someday you will never be able to play it.

Palworld has two major differences from those other two live services: player-hosted servers, and the beginnings of a robust modding community, both of which the devs are dedicated to supporting and developing further. I would say they have a point with Suicide Squad. If people just keep eating up the bad games AAA developers make, they'll keep making those same kinds of games. Just look at Call of Duty MW3 2023 and Battlefield 2042. Sure they're still fun to play but there are other problems with them that just leaves a bad taste in people's mouths

Nope, you don't get to put Suicide Squad with those two other games. The story of that game is straight-up insulting to all the dudes in the Justice League, not to mention fans. That game is brand Suicide for DC, and if you like and support it, you are telling those gawd awful writers you're ok with massive disrespect for some of the most iconic characters to ever exist that aren't actually worshipped. The other two are a gaming journalist talking to a gamer, but Suicide Squad is a gamer talking to a gaming journalist, but the journalist isn't even playing. They are just schilling for the game.
