Yep. I haven't been there, but in Australia there has been an experiment to determine whether asphalt is solid or just an extremely viscous liquid. There is also an underground city in the desert, because that part of the desert is unlivable.

The way I interpret it, Han-Tyumi wants to vomit because there is a foul feeling within himself that he wants to purge out. It's like having no mouth but needing to scream.

My favorite thing about all this is that every single arch or song for the story has a real world interpretation of it too. Before i got into gizzverse and starting learning the lore and stuff, I thought robot stop was just a song about people being overworked. But this is so much cooler

I think Stu caught on that the fans were piecing together their themes in their material from at least Paper Mache/Nonagon and then intentionally started doing it more. I love what they write about in general but to then tie it all together makes it very artistic actually, Stu Mackenzie also has a wide vocabulary seems to read lots of literature, folklore

Oh definitely, Trapdoor is a key Gizzverse song. In the context of the album, its like peeking through a trapdoor into a weirder parallel universe. It lets you know that everything is not ok on this album even though it sounds like gentle acoustic folk. It references hiding from "the beast". Then the songs get even weirder with Cold Cadaver, etc.
@seanromanowski6 жыл бұрын
I think Han-Tyumi is just one of many altered beasts, however his role is so critical because he is the murder of the universe, "life and death", He is the "Robot stop" required to keep the nonagon in the infinity state. It is his destiny to be the start and the end of the nonagon.
@motioninart6 жыл бұрын
Sean Romanowski interesting take on Han-Tyumi. I definitely think there’s an obvious link with the words robot stop to han-tyumi but I enjoy the interpretations that you also add. More importantly, thanks for watch and the comment :)
@hippiecheezburger54576 жыл бұрын
MOTU is mind blowing because its as if human beings got too smart and let themselves fall down the path of technology where it literally takes over every aspect of their lives to where there is nowhere to go but to evolve into robots or robot like creatures which I totally get from all of Han-Tyumi's commentary. Life is so synthetic that it feels like we are already dead, we have become dumbed down so much because we've suddenly let machines do everything for us, it makes you want to just get it out and vomit, so sick of the conditions we're living in that it makes you sick. LOL vs Balrog gives me so much imagery of the forces of good and evil as a battle in the human soul. It seems as if they say that good will triumph over evil but evil will always be lurking in the shadows all around. Altered Beast is just a descent into human madness, like Apocalypse Now, being so consumed by the ego, by the self that you are dehumanized and void of any real viable emotions.

You mention the cover of Mind Fuzz at the Castle Crumbling line, but didn't mention the song Crumbling Castle, with it's "Water rising up, thick and green"? I've wondered if the castle is in a world that's experiencing Han-Tyumi's Vomit-pocalypse in some kind of slowed down timeline "inching closer each century"

Per. Deliquium for this series I'm not going to focus on it as much, although I've mentioned that there is a nice nod to covert art for it in the murder of the universe album. So I'm not ignoring it completely but in my view these three albums (nonagon Infinity, MOTU, polygondwanaland) give the best understanding of the gizzverse with the strongest connections and will make up the basis of this series. Thanks for the comment and watch though! :)

I like to think that Han-Tyumi is very similar to Azathoth from the Lovecraft mythos. Azathoth is the idiot god and has been asleep since the dawn of time and that everything that has every existed is just a figment of Azathoth's dreams ie if/When he wakes up everything dies, is destroyed and disappears. Stu has described Han-Tyumi as a sort of idiot child. Playing god. I can't help be see the similarities in tezeta "I am true perspective" "I am that which I am" and also of course in murder of the universe "I am your father I am your god". Also I think the two voices in tezeta Boy and Girl and the reticent raconteur/narrator from motu and the soy-protein munt machine/vomit coffin. How ever they don't remember their previous incarnations. Hence why when Han-Tyumi says "do you remember now?" the Girl (narrator from motu) says "yes I do!" As she is remembering the battle of the Balrog and the lighting lord and fascinating yet destructive and terrible it was. And the Boy (Vomit Coffin) just says "wha-" because he remembers the horror of being a living machine built for the express purpose of constantly vomiting for the pleasure of some crazy cyborg god. But that's just my opinion lol

I've been a huge fan of their music since 12 Bar Bruise but never delved into "gizzverse theory" because I was put off by all the crackpot half-baked theories I've seen over the years. Thank you so much for making these videos, Murder Of The Universe made it kinda impossible to ignore the building storyline, and I've been waiting for a sane structured analysis ever since. I agree with everything you've said thus far, and I'm excited for Polygondwanaland in volume 3.

I think Han-Tyumi's chapter is the end times, because we don't see any kind of mechanichal parts until Nonagon Infinity, which is probably what leads to Han-Tyumi. I see the Gizzverse more as a collection of tales that slowly lead to the apocalypse due to someone (probably the Lord of Lightning or the person who achieved Tetrachromacy) opening the door. Maybe Han-Tyumi created a new universe inside him and started from 0 (probably what they talk about in Skteches and the new single).

I cannot stop relating gizzverse to a series of books, The Hyperion Cantos. The story is bout 7 pilgrims, and their quest to reach a outreach planet and start some apocalyptic shit show. Even the 7 figures, from Nonagon Infinity bear several similarities with the protagonists. Specially the crocodile going up a tree. I love these guys, and your job, putting all this pore together is really amazing

Those riffs in Altered Beast that repeat and repeat are very apocalyptic, like I picture the world crumbling into pieces with that sound. I remember not even digging Digital Black and Han Tyumi at first, and now it fits into their catalogue just so well. MOTU and what it’s about and the lyrics, it might actually be their best album, the progressive hard rock is so great. The themes fit together like a puzzle, it’s just so creative and poetic. I swear they get this conceptual continuity from someone like Zappa

Very well done man, only thing i gotta say is you're a little off on the soy protein munt machine, while humans are made up of proteins we are not made up of soy protein (And obviously not steel bone of course but i know you didn't imply that). There might be something to it still, i always just assumed it was a joke and a play on the fact that we have begun re-creating all kinds of fake animal product out of soy protein so it would only make sense for a higher being to re-create us from soy as well. Plus Stu being vegan he probably is around these soy products all the time aha
@motioninart6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment :) Haha technically no we’re not but I guess the idea I took away from it is that it’s made of a protein which is an analogy for linking it back to humans and the lyrics of the next song confirms that. Like soy protein could just very well mean protein which could again just mean humans. But it could also be a way that Stu is showing his vegan side haha
