49:37 So he's confusing cold welding (bringing two metals together in a vacuum with no oxide layer (rust) causes metals to spontaneously weld. Happened on one of the Apollo missions because some paint chipped on their hatch), cold fusion (nuclear fusion (the sun) happening at low temperatures, currently impossible), and the concept of heating via radiation (kitchen microwaves, heat lamps, etc.) I know conspiracy theories rot the brain, but watching 3 entirely distinct concepts just get slammed into each other for no reason other than a personal misunderstanding is so representative of the kind of nuttery required to fall down these rabbit holes. "Did I misunderstand this concept? No, it's reality that's wrong!"

thank you for saying this, as I heard "examples of cold fusion" I started screaming internally. How can Greg be wrong on so many levels. Fractal wrongness really exists.

You know it's cold welding and not cold fusion because your metal rods stuck together instead of exploding with enough force to level a sizable chunk of a city. Subtle difference, but apparent upon close inspection.

Look, the crop circle hoaxes by those two guys in the English countryside were entertaining in the 90s, impressive actually. But lately I've been finding circles in my weed crops, so this shit has to stop.
@joearnold68816 ай бұрын
Crop circles were the first thing I ever saw debunked. It was in the early nineties and I was in elementary school. We had some sort of magazine or flyer thing, I can’t remember what… it was like a newspaper for kids I think? Anyway, it had a whole article about crop circles and how the hoaxsters made them, complete with illustrations of people doing it. Boards with string attached and things in their hats to help keep the lines going the way you want. Come to think of it, that early lesson may be part of why I wound up a skeptic and atheist eventually. 🤔

I admit, I was thinking he was doing some pretty basic stuff after his "I am the Green Man" video, but he's definitely knocked it out of the park with this one. I can't be completely happy, because I know when conspiracy theories abound, someone is going to use them for antisemitism. Even if I somehow accepted his occasional claim to be doing this for fun, I'm certain some of his audience are not in on that hypothetical joke. But, in a vacuum, this is more entertaining than some of his more recent ones that really didn't feel like he was trying hard enough. He went so hard here to an almost unbelievable degree and that's what I enjoy out of these rabbit hole videos. 32:54 I don't really know what to say about Greg finding it incomprehensible that someone might do something secretly, wait a long time after people have stopped talking about it, and then announce they did the thing. Fun fact: when I tried and failed to find any concrete examples of crop circles happening in 15 seconds or whatever, I found out that the most famous pair of hoaxers apparently revealed themselves because one of their wives started asking piercing questions about why he keeps disappearing in the evening without explanation and his car has so much mileage on it. This was after like 10-20 years of doing it quietly, so they didn't exactly come out immediately about it. 50:54 I'm not sure if Greg knows this, but "obtain[ing] extremely unique results" is not really something that proves your point much in science.

Worth pointing out if cold fusion did achieve proper ignition (when a reaction becomes self sustaining), it would be very VERY hot and release a lot of neutron and gamma radiation. This is the case for any fusion (even aneutronic fuels will still produce some neutron radiation for reasons). The idea of cold fusion is that it can achieve ignition without heating the fuel up first. The end goal is still hot and radioactive. Any video demonstrating cold fusion with the person standing in the same room as the reactor is a liar because they'd be dead and everything would be on fire (in case you needed yet more reasons it was bs). Also tbf to Greg, I could totally see the government spreading some conspiracies just to mess with people and cause more confusion. They'd rather people spend time worrying about stuff that doesn't exist than actual problems (because solving them would mean leftism).
