Yup the first one the white one is Ronnie while the second one that got the mantle is Jason. Not uncommon for multiple People to be the same hero in comics. I Think there was a third one but can't remember.

I know very little about Firestorm or DC in general but going off of these clips, I kind of like the dynamic of the white one better. The professor actually feels like he serves a purpose of being the mature braniac that helps keep the hotheaded Firestorm in check and acts as a well of info for him (which helps since his powers require knowledge to use). It's an interesting dynamic, the one with the most SCIENTIFIC powers is the most UNSCIENTIFIC mind of them all The other one already seems like he's a bit of a nerd already for "wanting to check out the atomic pile as opposed to the weapon section." So the professor for the other one doesn't feel like he has a purpose and just feels like a comic relief character. And it's not like those have a rep of going HORRIBLY wrong *cough cough* Jar Jar Bink *cough cough* Then again, I'm just going off first impressions here
