I had to rewind to hear..i had a kubker-ross death and dying book in nursing school. I use stages of grief and dying in all aspects of life. Grief brings instability and sometimes safety issues which blocks someone from reaching heights in maslows heirarchy. So many people don't sit with their thoughts anymore. Its too easy to distract thru everything.

i am 51 and both my parents are here, seemingly healthy, and i devastate myself with going thru the feelings when they pass. i feel like i might die right along with them. my mind knows this as a metaphor but my heart knows it will be broken. I might not recover yet i might want to march on fighting my emotions 🤷🏼‍♀️

Death is often more final than ongoing problems while alive. Im sorry for your loss and pain. My narcissistic sister used my mom against me.. its still painful :(
