I think its more likely that Imu has 'the original devil' fruit than a literal deal with a devil, although it could be likely that original devil fruit was some how sacred or not meant to be consumed so Imu took it as a last resort to beat joyboy. Garling as Imus new lap dog fits with the theory that he'll have a fenrir inspired form as well
