Once at Lake Superior I found a crayfish laying on its back. I helped flip it back over and then it picked up a nice piece of jasper and held it up in its claw.

Maybe they are just helpful little guys who like the pretty rocks like everyone else 😂

Very fierce, that crayfish. I mean, look at it's bone structure! hehe I'm glad you braved the waves and wildlife for those fantastic finds.

Crayfish are tough cookies! Sometimes you have to go through it to grow through it 😂

👋🏻 Hi Lake! I really like your "Van Gogh" rock! The lake gave you a nice variety on this hunt. I hope we'll get to see some of the cutting you'll be doing. Thank you for the fun!

Variety it gave me indeed!! I have been a little behind on my rock cutting because I need a place to be okay with getting messy 😂 shortly there will be more of it!

The overlapping wave phenomenon you referred to at 9:38 is indicative of a RIP current. Be careful in the water when its present..RIP currents are responsible for most drownings on Lake Michigan.

I will make sure to not mess with it! The Lake is so mighty that I do not want to make her mad!

That might be a piece of Leland Blue!

Can you find Leland blue in Lake Superior?

11:45 could it be slag glass?
@rodenbergrocks Жыл бұрын
That may be the best bet!

11:54. Is that slag or Leland blue?
@rodenbergrocks Жыл бұрын
I think you are right with slag! We don’t get Leland blue up where I am from!

If that's a crayfish, I'm wonder woman 🦸♀️🤣😂🤣. His crawdaddy must be Poseidon. King Triton is welcoming you with a sweet ass agate 🎉🎉🎉.

It was very kind of him to do so 😂 even if I was spooked!

The blue rock is probably slag glass? Like Leland Blue, only on Superior instead of Michigan.
@rodenbergrocks Жыл бұрын
I have had a couple people also say that it is slag, like Leland blue. Pretty unique to find in Superior!

Do you prefer looking in wet rocks or dry?
@rodenbergrocks Жыл бұрын
It’s easier to see when they are wet, but I feel that most people don’t look at the dry stuff so I try and do a combination of both! Depends if it is sunny or not too!

If that's a crayfish then I'm wonder 🦸♀️ woman 🤣. He's on steroids 💪, he ate some bad escargot ☢️ or that lobster 🦞 took a wrong turn somewhere...

He took a wrong turn at the fork in the lake 😂 not sure how he ended up there!

@rodenbergrocks to bad I can't attach photos to comments. Found marry ellen in a river/creek today. I think thats what it is,right next to a huge football size crystal with a little agate swirl. I have it soaking right now. I hope the football shows tons of agate swirls.
