Just gonna let y'all know that I found an easier way on the forehand side, using the same "skate by the goalie and make him chase you" idea. Do exactly what is being shown in this video on the between the legs move on the forehand side, but instead do the one hand tuck so your guy just slides it past him far side, it's like 90% for me. Skate down on forehand side, hold out forehand, skate over the hash marks, once you get to the top of the blue paint, to the goalies side, hit L1 + R1 (while holding out to your forehand).

Evan D. It’s just a tuck so no shooting needed, it’s easier too if while you pull the puck to the side, start holding LB then, and then when you’re ready to do it press RB.

For sure! It's very tough against a computer goalie since they will likely read that the puck is slowly trickling toward them. A player goalie on the other hand will get caught by it pretty often so you'll see it be used by some top EASHL players

@Tomn8er5 жыл бұрын
Scoring on breakaways is so ridiculously hard this year. In years past, ever since like 07 or 08, you could just deke left and right a bunch of times and then roof it forward at the last minute. That doesn't seem to work anymore which is lame because realistically you should be able to score like 50% of the time on a breakaway without resorting to weird moves like this.
@Brianstormed5 жыл бұрын
The one handed tuck has been the way to go since they updated the goalies and nerfed skating. But yeah they have been trying to make it so that people dont just randomly move their right stick and get lucky to score
@LJT93935 жыл бұрын
For some reason the Defensemen CPU can somehow catch up to a winger who’s full speed up ice, and then you try and do some dekes and they poke the puck or push you off.

Great vid man, I commented on a HUT video you made about the 82 Lafleur from the DC rewards. It’s fucking impossible on the single player and just wondered if you had any tips against the AI on superstar difficulty for someone that has totally underestimated the challenge. If not I’ll have to grind the online, despite the fact I’m shit lol
@Brianstormed6 жыл бұрын
Hmmm. Personally I did not find them as challenging as last year. I think the most important thing for them regarding defense is to stop them at the blue line. If they are approaching the boards in the NZ and entering your zone, you form up in front of them to force them to dump the puck most of the time. This will mean possession will likely be back in your hands. Offense can be tricky, low rebound shots from anywhere and then burying the second opportunity seems to be the easiest thing you can do.
@xZxYTSJxZx6 жыл бұрын
Ok I’ll give it a shot, I’m taking too many tripping penalties tbf. I was glad they announced harsher penalties for poke check spammers but it’s happening when I press it just once. Thanks for the advice man, liked and subbed

May I ask a question to a Professional? I Wonder about acceleration. Until last NHL 18 acceleration Workshop by Pressling the right Stick. For me it looks, as in that does Not work on NHL 19. Does acceleration still work by Pressling the right Stick or not? Thanx.
@Brianstormed6 жыл бұрын
Acceleration is just a general stat that helps your players get to top speed sooner. Right stick in helps, but just normally moving around without the RS will be benefited by acceleration as well. In NHL 19, pushing the right stick in isn't as noticeable as previous years because they made it so that the worst players and the best players skating stats are closer together.

Getting nhl tomorrow, can u still not dump the puck this yeAr, it would always go over the boards, or is that glitch still in it
@andersalstrup30776 жыл бұрын
That's not a glitch. That's you holding the lob pass button too long. Doing so increases the force your player uses to elevate the puck. Hold it too long and it'll go out of play. If you practice the timing for how long to power up the lob, dump and chase can work.
@Jhart446 жыл бұрын
Anders Alstrup really I swear I’ve tried it where I hold it all the way and where I barely do nothing works for me, and I think dump and chase is the best way to win
@andersalstrup30776 жыл бұрын
@@Jhart44 if you hold the lob pass button for half a second then shoot the puck, aiming with the left stick (assuming skill stick controls), it should dump the puck in deep from after the red line at center ice. Let me know if that works in practice mode (I'm away from my Xbox right now)

This year is definitely a very different year than previous ones. Going into NHL 18, much of what you did carried over from 17. When I first booted the game up and loaded up my strategies, I realized they weren't going to work this year. A lot of the little things that I did just didn't work anymore, so it was time to find new strategies, tactics, and tricks. Learning zone entry should be a priority, without that, you will never get into the offensive zone (exaggeration). Remember that the AI aren't aggressive this year, that means you can breeze right by them, usually to their side without much resistance. You have to keep an eye out for the player that is being controlled by your opponent and go in the opposite direction to enter the zone. Sometimes you may need to pass back to the center line before pushing forward as well. As far as cycling goes, it again boils down to the passive AI, if the AI is hunting you down you can likely move/circle around them. If its a player, you can try that too but its probably better to pass it so you don't get hit and lose the puck. With how passive everyone is, you can be really patient to open up opportunities and not take the first shot you see.
