I always do this as my warm-up every range session.

Do you only squat in the full swing, not in the half swing?

Should I be working on keeping the clubface closed (facing the ground at the top) of this half swing?

depends on the player, by roughly for right hand player, the toe of the club pointing around 1030-11 oclock from the players point of view when they look at it at shaft parallel =)

Hey Larry can you work on the lighting for future videos so we can see your launch monitor screen the lighting is washing it out? Watching all your swing series videos now!

Hey Dan, will need to experiment with it, tough spot with location that I'm filming. That being said, if launch monitor data was imperative, I will screen cap and edit into the videos to make sure you guys can see what the ball is doing!!! For this series, the movement is more important, so I didn't put a big emphasis on the monitor screen =)

For someone that early extends, is there benefit to adding torquing of the trail foot and pushing the hips back when performing the half swing drill? Or, since the torquing and pushing should occur at the top of the backswing, would adding this be detrimental to the half swing drill?
@LarryCheungGolf4 жыл бұрын
Think of the torque and push to happen in transition so you can definitely add the torque and push even when doing half swings =)

How far should you be hitting, let's say with a 7 iron when doing a half swing.
@LarryCheungGolf5 жыл бұрын
There is no should, different for everyone, most importantly is the contact and sound movement =)

@@LarryCheungGolf i can see that you advocate squat and rotate move. can you do a video explaining the difference between that and hip drive? Why not hip drive? Is there a place for it at all??
@LarryCheungGolf5 жыл бұрын
@@haywirekwek not sure what you mean by hi drive, there so many terms interpreted differently by different people
