Hi Munchie! Big fan from here in Canada. My comment is less about Butterscotch and more about you. Take care of yourself, I’m sure everyone can understand and respect there are some aspects of your life you want to keep private and deal with on your own. Your health is important and it’s definitely not owed to anyone to share that. I understand a lot of what you’re going through, even without knowing the specifics. I have a lot of chronic, but mainly invisible illnesses, and it’s so hard to spend so much time at the Dr’s, be so sick, and yet appear so normal. I am sending you my best wishes and healing thoughts. - Danni

Hi munchie! Hope you feel better soon. Poor little boy. I know you are going to take amazing care of him. He's a gorgeous hamster. He reminds me of my late Keoke. I have a black longhaired girl called Dotcom. She is a beautiful lady. I love her so much. She's about a year old.
@carolynr45363 жыл бұрын
My first hamster looks exactly like him. She was a short haired Syrian hamster. Her name was Cocoa and I loved her so much. But now that I actually think about it we had such a small cage for her. We had a 10 gallon aquarium and she had a 6 inch silent spinner. 🤦♀️. Now I have a winter white and his name is Mango. Unfortunately he started with a tiny tails cage with the tubes. He kept escaping so I moved him up to a 10 gallon tank. Then I came upon your channel and Victoria Reachel. Thank you so much for making videos, you saved my hamster from torture! He now has a homemade cage that is 12” by 60”! He’s no longer eating just seeds that you buy in prepackaged bags at the pet store. I made him his own food and every other day I’ll give him a baby carrot. So I just wanted to say, thank you so much for making videos like this. It’s so rare to find videos about hamsters that actually tell correct information. But thanks to you, i have the most spoiled hamster in the world. Edit: And he has a 12” wheel that he runs on all the time

Focus was on point. Also experience helps with hamsters with high fight or flight responses. He was barely stepping on my hand, so i knew when he was going to launch. It's a reaction to not knowing what they're walking on and wanting to get away.

@ashlinnmeechan52743 жыл бұрын
@@ratvomit345 I don’t believe sunburst has fiber pellets in it, or if it does it has very few. It’s a seed mix, most of the teeny seeds are millet. My hamster always leaves the millet for last, and eats the pea flakes and Mazuri Rat and mouse blocks first:
@kayseeponton55983 жыл бұрын
@@ashlinnmeechan5274 Sunburst has alfalfa pellets in it. my little dude also leaves those, he has no interest. so i just make sure i offer some fresh veggies so he gets his fiber in.
@MunchiesPlace3 жыл бұрын
There is a small thin fiber pellet in sunburst. It's not as overpowering in this formula as Kaytee's taste of the wild is. But it's common to see them leave the pellets due to hay pellets not providing them enough nutrition before passing in the gut. And like Kaysee said, supplement them with fiber based fresh fruits instead. Just remember they don't need a lot of fiber, just a little.

Amazing how much just a larger enclosure will do... The GREEDY and NASTY pet companies selling and manufacturing tiny toy cages for kids should be ashamed of themselves... Naw, he's adorable. I recently adopted an 'aggressive' rat who had apparently left his owners with substantial bite marks. He's been nothing but a huge teddy bear so far, minus some terrified squeaks if we go to close to his face when handling him. I'm sure his 'aggression' had nothing at all to do with his missing toe or the felt tip pen all over his tail.
