He got used by both sides, Menendez flat out says he doesn’t care about his men and the SEALs didn’t even react or give any notice to his death in order to save Harper, Harper was the only one who even mildly had some friendship with him but even then he didn’t seem to give his death much notice. Menendez also leans into this by saying “to those you serve, your life means nothing.” He was clearly talking about the SEALs bc he knew the entire time Farid was a spy, hinting at it multiple times in their conversations, DeFalco also stating “Anything wrong, Farid?” with a smirk. It was sad to realize this since I really liked him as a character

I played the Black Ops 2 campaign once. I chose to not kill Harper since I liked his character so much. This brings back memories. The choices you made in this game actually mattered. Yes, there is official Black Ops canon. But what they gave us outperforms most modern cod games.

Bro i didn't even know about the strike force missions until a few months ago but thats still years ignorant of them, and worst part, is I am on veteran playthrough so since ive NEVER done those strike forces missions i get destroyed

There is a third secret option if you press crouch (button varies depending on platform) at the same time as you shoot menendez, you dodge the gun grab and menendez dies, someone else tries to shoot you but harper throws himself in front of the bullet, you kill the person that tried to shoot you and an explosion goes off in the background, everyone scatters and you both live and it goes to a cutscene with harper in hospital recovering. It might take a few tries because the timing is a very small window at the end of the dialogue when the options appear, if you miss the window you get the gun grab ending. You unlock a hidden achievement when you pull it off.
