In the end, Peter abandoned Rebecca at the bottom of the lake. He couldn't do the hard thing, take responsibility, and feel her death. He's not only a murderer; he's the worst kind of coward.

yeah, peter’s story still makes me cry whenever he tells it, and I’ve watched this series for how many times now, and that story still hurts me, too close to home

"its not that scary"... 40 minutes and almost a heart attack later...🤣I agree, Bly Manor isn't in the same scary level that Hill House was. I do love how different are Luke and Peter, I wanted to hug and protect Luke in HH, put Peter here in BM I want him more dead than he already is lol

haha I commented on that in the intro for the next one! That ending got me good. I agree with your sentiment. Protect Luke at all costs, but PETER... just go into the light (or black) already and leave those kids alone!

Peter had the perfect opportunity to take the first steps towards putting his past behind himself by kicking out his mum, but he didn't, he chose to go steal for her and deluded himself that he could do that bad thing by saying he'd use the rest of the money so he and Rebecca could run away together. He selfishly never considered what SHE wanted, or that he was making her an accessory to the theft of enough money to get them both locked away for a very long time. Then, after his death, he wanted to make Rebecca, the woman he loved, an active participant in the theft of TWO INNOCENT CHILDREN'S LIVES by taking over their bodies and "tucking them away"! He never considered that his actions would be just as bad, or worse, than what his father did to him as a child. Rebecca was in a different place altogether. She really loved Peter and was caught up at first in her grief at his death and the betrayal of what he was going to do to "take care of everything". Then, she was able to experience how unsettling and wrong being "tucked away" felt, but she still loved and trusted him in many ways so she excused it... and then he murdered her in the lake. She started bouncing around in her ghost form to all those times with Peter and was able to see how much he really ignored her desires for his own, plus she knew how much it was upsetting the children to be "tucked away" because she knew how it felt... like he was wanting her to be an accomplace to both the theft of the children's lives and their murder - even if they weren't completely dead, and to stand by while he used Miles' body to murder Dani. Thank goodness Rebecca chose to stop the madness... but the Lady in the Lake has her own agenda.

lol depends on what else is going on. Historically, I watch one at a time. Occasionally 2 at a time. I THINK I watched this episode and then a week later watched 8 & 9 back to back.
