Exactly the reason why I could not be a cop. I walk into that scene where the seven-year-old is watching cartoons. This clown admits to killing her Mother and Sister and putting them under the floor. Sad to say but there's a lot of filipina gold diggers who use dating apps to find rich europeans/americans because of poverty in the philippines. They usually blatantly ask for money online, marry them for money or scam them to come to the philippines and steal all their money in their atm cards. I hope this serves as a warning to be careful in meeting strangers in the internet.

“Looking for a better life” is a very sanitised way of saying that she left her husband and then started perusing dating apps to find someone new without any worries about her children or their father. It really is horrific what happened to her, but she put her and her kids at risk with her actions. The UK Government gave her a house when she left the husband, and she started searching for a new man instantly, only to drive to Scotland after knowing him overnight.

In my opinion anyone who hurts a child (or children) like that is a "one and done" and they should never leave prison again, ever. They shouldn't get to live among regular people again. I'd prefer if child sex predators got the death penalty because if we can't protect our children then are we even a civilized society? I don't think so. I wouldn’t even say it was grooming tbh. He met her once and she left with him that night. Grooming is usually a very long and deliberate process of gaining trust to put victims at ease, only to finally take advantage of that trust in the end. This was straight up predatory behaviour, but she went along with it unfortunately not knowing how bad he was.

Jane Doe feeling guilty for not saving Benilyn and Jellica is the saddest thing I’ve heard in a long time. Even with all these other horrific details, her perceived guilt is what got to me the most. Here is this monster-absolute monster-who feels no guilt whatsoever…and here Jane Doe, who probably barely survived herself still has enough humanity to feel sorry for the other two. I hope she gets a lot of intensive therapy so she will learn that she has nothing to feel guilty for. And, since the story doesn’t mention how she came to be abducted by Innes, I how that whoever is supposed to be the important person in her life has the capacity to love her the way she deserves.
