The film "Arrival" is the best demonstration I've seen of how creatures might live outside of time.

It's funny, you know, because recently I found myself wondering if the answer to the question of "where is Jesus now?" perhaps that he is in the future. I'd never heard anyone say that before but maybe it makes the best sense?

Weren't members of the Sanhedrin aware of Jesus raising Lazarus from the tomb? Weren't they seeking to prevent Jesus being raised from the tomb the way Lazarus was raised?

Are the books of Thomas, Judas, the gnostic gospels, etc.etc not historical writings? Who ignored and deleted those? Why is the canon selective? Answer: humans wrote, interpreted what they wanted to believe probably for the purpose of controlling the masses. It’s human agenda…not from a god of any stripe. New York is historical….will someone believe in Spider-Man in a thousand years?

The fact that you're asking this proves you haven't read the gnostic gospels.

If Paul actually studied with Gamaliel, who was a contemporary in time in Jerusalem with Jesus; why doesn't Paul know ANY details about the life of Jesus at all?

How do you know that he didn't know anything about the life of Jesus?

@@ji8044obviously you didn't read them well enough. Guess for example that you didn't notice the many places where Paul writes, "I tell you and not the lord", or "the lord says", etc. He also mentioned meeting Peter and James. So how do you come to the conclusion he didn't know anything about Jesus's life? That's a ridiculous idea. So do you have any other easy questions 😂?
@ji80444 күн бұрын
@@MrSeedi76 "He also mentioned meeting Peter and James" Yes, but gives no details about even them except to say that James was the brother of Jesus (which the Catholic Church denies but that is another story) Paul's factual information about Jesus comes down to three things 1) he was born of a woman, (he doesn't know Mary's name, or the existence of Joseph), 2) he was crucified, and 3) he was resurrected by God the Father. The last one isn't really factual information. It's faith, but I threw it in there anyway. Now, please tell me what information about the human life of Jesus that Paul related which I have missed?

It sounds like you most likely are projecting your modern view of one knowing his contemporaries with one knowing his contemporary in the first century the world was very different it was probably very common for one not to know their contemporaries

@garethflook5706 5-star movie, but missing the millenia of impact on civilization that the Bible has had. You could argue for the Iliad or Bhagavad Gita or Buddhist Tripitaka, but Matthew McConaughey alone doesn't bring Interstellar to that level.
@vanishingpoint74115 күн бұрын
The plural of anecdote doesn’t equal data. You have no evidence for resurrection . Just stories in the bible. This is like watching the Harry Potter fan club talk about the length of Harry’s wand . Just more of NTs nonsense White noise chat
