HISTORY OF TURKEY in 10 minutes
The history of Turkey. From this title , we can understand as the period between the formation of the Republic in 29 October 1923, and the present days or the period of Ottoman and Turkic Beyliks, but we are going to refer to the entire period of known history of this land. Practically the history of the region now forming the territory of the Republic of Turkey. Anatolia and not only.

@@quackquack4991 in your wet dreams. Not only Greeks are usually not included among balkan people, which you probably never learned in your asian school, but also Genetically, like from every aspect, Greeks and Turks are worlds apart. Greeks are genetically closer to Central Italians first, and then to South Italians and Balkans. Turks are genetically intermediate to caucasus and near east, with significant central Asian admixture. As for Serbs, the only "turks" genetically close to Serbs are the 1 million of Bosnians who live in Turkey @OgunBasar the only aspects of your culture that are not similar to Arabic are those which are relevant to central Asian and Caucasus. I have been to Turkey twice, once in Bodrum and then to Istanbul. Climate excluded, which is definitely familiar, everything reminded me of Syria and Lebanon. Of course it's quite different from Arabic peninsula but arabs are not limited to arabic peninsula, Lebanese are Arabs as well

Viking Pride It’s so obvious that ur like the same people in Balkan/Armenia who hated the Ottomans, just because u have served us. We don’t need any culture we have ourselves. Our culture is richer then any other European one. We are the ones who connected Altaic culture with Persian, Arabic and then with Roman one. Our culture nowadays consist a lot of tengrism. Our food, language, soldiers, ranks all of them are Turkic. Our music is completely Turkic. Guys like u don’t even have a honorable history. Just learning other cultures to connect yourself with them. I went to the Balkans. Even to Greece. Couldn’t see the antic Greece with all his knowledge. They were just a copy of the Ottoman Turks. Also the Balkan is full with Turkish culture and they mostly accepted them and integrate them to their own culture. The Ottoman Empire was the complete version of the Roman Empire at his time. Like the east Roman Empire the west one tried to defeat us.

The word Asia actually comes from the latinised version of the greek word for Anatolia. The Romans called this province Asia minor but it was eventually adopted as the word for the entire continent.
@RockandrollNegro
@RockandrollNegro Жыл бұрын
You're partly correct. The Greeks referred to the East Bank as "Anatolia," literally "the land to our immediate east." Later, as the people of the East Bank moved further inland of what is now Turkey, the entire region became known as Anatolia. The Latin word "Asua" came from the Akkadian word "Asu," (or "Ossu") meaning "land of the rising sun." This referred to the Far East (Japan and Mongolia.) This word became Hellenized to "Asia" in the Grecian countries. The Latin countries continued using "Occi" or "Ossi" which is where we get the term "Occidental." So neither the Greeks or Romans considered Anatolia to be Asia proper. The Romans considered it a subcontinent of Asia (hence, Asia Minor) and the Greeks definitely understood Anatolia to be the Near East. Far east was considered Iaoponnía, from which we get both "Japan" and "Nippon."

Nope! The word Asia comes from the indigenous population in W.Turkey ,which is Bulgarian and in Bulgarian language Az means : me ,I .ASIA - I, my ,my family ,the me and my family ,imagine this : Me-ia ,I-ia if I can play some English language wording . There is no such thing as Greeks or Greek language . Greeks are just a mixture of Romans duped into a new nationality as Greek that do not belong to region of modern Turkey or Balkans . There is not a single,real map with Greece on it before 1830! There is no Greek alphabet it is Phoenician ,language as well . Aristotle writes down during a visit at Alexander's : " then Alexander called HIS SOLDIERS IN HIS MOTHER TONGUE ,and I did not understand ANYTHING "

The word Anatolia of course is not Turkish. It has Greek roots and it means territory "east of Greece" which means today's western Turkey. In western Turkey you will find Greek Smyrna, Turkified to Izmir, where thousands of native Christians were murdered and the city was set on fire by the Turks. There are two primary reasons why Turks use the word Anatolia or Eastern Anatolia to refer to much of Turkey's Asiatic part: 1. To remove from the map any mention of former states or kingdoms today under their occupation. 2. To erase from memory any mention of the native Christian populations they deported, expelled and murdered.

I am an Iranian and according to our history, Anatolie was the land of Hitties(indo-european) which were allies (Satrap)of Persians and lydians, close To Greece. There were many wars between Persians and Greeks which were in reality between Hitties and Greeks........The Seljouquied are Turkeman tribes comming from central Asia. Once they conquered Persia and once they established their power in Baghdad, they began To penetrate into Anatolie....... In my idea, Turkey is a mixture of cultures and civilisations and that is the reason of richness and beautifullness of this country.

@silent hawk Ok lets pretend he was "european" or "Greek" "jew". That's the most wrong sentence ever since there are only Sephardic Jews. Sephardic Jews are almost same as Khazar Jews. Khazars were Turkic And Sephardics were assimilated into Turkic. Even though he wasn't Jewish. His mother literally wear hijab and he pray with islamic preachers. He also had wife with hijab and went to islamic school (medrese/medresah whatever you call it) for few years.

The Arnavut (🇦🇱) have contributed enormously in the Ottoman Empire and also in Turkey today ... Many Albanians were recruited into the Ottoman Devşirme and Janissary with 42 Grand Viziers of the Ottoman Empire being of Albanian origin ( ... ) Malcolm 2002, p. 82. "Modern historians would also think it necessary to refer to the many examples of cooperation (sometimes to mutual advantage) between inhabitants of the Albanian lands and their foreign rulers - above all, in the case of the Ottomans, with their innumerable soldiers and officials of Albanian origin. Example (Statesmen, revolutionary, generals, notables or ruling families of Albanian origin) : - Lala Shahin pacha (first Beylerbey of the Ottoman Empire, governor of Rumelia). - Lala Mustafa pacha defeated the Venetians in Famagusta (Cyprus) - Mehmed Pasha Arnavud, Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. - Köprülü, an important Turkish family of Albanian origin of which FIVE members were Grand Viziers of the Ottoman Empire from 1656 to 1710 and in Turkey until today. - Fazil Ahmet pacha, Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. - Mustafa Hussein, Grand-Vizier of the Ottoman Empire. - Mehmet Ali, vice king of Egypt, founder of an Albanian dynasty that reigned for nearly 150 years, including the last king of Egypt, Farouk I. - Mustafa Kemal said, Atatürk, statesman founder of modern Turkey (having Albanian origins) Etc... Famous architect of the Ottoman Empire of Albanian origin: - Sinân Mimar built the most beautiful mosque of Istanbul (Süleymaniye, between 1550 and 1557), the Shehzâde mosque of Istanbul, the Selîmiye mosque of Edrine (his masterpiece), the white mosque (Yeni Djami) and nearly 360 other monuments. - Sedef Qar Mehmet Biçakci of Elbasan, architect of the Hyppodrome or Atmeydan Mosque. (System of aqueducts of Istanbul built by several Albanian architects) - Mehmet Mustafa Agha and Hoxha Kasem built the Valid Sultaniyé Mosque in Galata (Istanbul -1873). Etc ... In the 11th and 12th centuries after Christ some of the Central Asiatic nomads were known as Mongols or Tartars, some as Turks, and each of these names were often applied to them collectively. Modern historians call them Turkic peoples because they spoke agglutinative languages, of the Altaic family, akin to Turkish.

1 This morning I would like to talk about the subject: "The Word of God orders a separation from disbelief". 2 Let’s take our Bibles in 2 Chronicles 19. King Jehoshaphat went towards Ahab and both of them went to war for the conquest of Ramoth-Gilead and that ended with the death of Ahab. We can also see that in 1 Kings 22. Thus let’s read 2 Chronicles 19:1-3: "And Jehoshaphat king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem. And Jehu the son of Hanani, the Seer, went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate Jehovah? Therefore is wrath upon thee from Jehovah... " 3 You see? King Jehoshaphat was alone with God but he wanted to fellowship with somebody to put an end to his loneliness. He was bored as for his natural life. He knew that the kings of the churches around were idolaters and declared enemies of God. But, he wanted nevertheless a friend and he found him in the person of Ahab, the only king who confessed the same God as him. But what happened? God got angry with Jehoshaphat! And the prophet cried out: "Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate Jehovah? Therefore is wrath upon thee from Jehovah …" You see? Should you help the ungodly? Should you love those who reject Jesus Christ, the Word of the hour? Had Jesus Christ in the flesh fellowshipped with the Pharisees who rejected his Message? You see? 4 God requested from Jehoshaphat the temper the Holy prophets of God have and which always leads them to the mountains, far from the adversaries and enemies of God. But this will, Jehoshaphat did not understand it. 5 And even before Moses proclaimed the commandments, the assembly was purified from the Korah and Dathan and Abiram. In the same way with the Apostles, before the Holy Spirit came down, the assembly was purified from Judas Iscariot and others. And before we know the glory, all the Judas will come out of our midst. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. 6 Let’s see another passage, 2 Chronicles 20:35-37: "And after this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly. And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish; and they made the ships in Ezion-geber. And Eliezer the son of Dodavah, of Mareshah, prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, Jehovah has broken thy works. And the ships were broken, and could not go to Tarshish." You see? 7 MayGod keep us from joining ourselves with a church or a pastor, apostle, evangelist or teacher or other. Know that all these reverends, these great bishops across the earth, they are demons. They cannot serve God unless they humbly come here to be baptized and consecrated by prophet Kacou Philippe. There is no God but Jesus Christ and Kacou Philippe is his only prophet on the earth. And every son of God says "Amen!" to this word. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. 8 Andwhen you will believe this Message and you will be preachers or pastors of this Message, do not prostitute yourselves with the priests of the Catholic, Protestant, evangelical and Branhamist high places. Stay with God! Stay with his Word! No matter the persecution, stay with God and his prophet! Because outside the living prophet of your time, know that it is the way of perdition! The Lord Jesus Christ did not suffer on the cross for you to be Catholics. The Lord Jesus Christ did not suffer on the cross for you to be Protestants. The Lord Jesus Christ did not suffer on the cross for you to be evangelicals, Branhamists, Muslims and others. And as He is the same yesterday, today and forever, as in all times, in your time also, He will send a single prophet like Noah in whom you have to believe to have eternal Life. And this prophet will have as absolute the Almighty God who has sent him. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. 9 Know that my absolute is not Moses or Jesus Christ of Nazareth, or another prophet of the Bible. The Lord Jesus Christ can appear to me in a vision or a dream as Moses and Elijah appeared to him during his ministry but that does not set Moses and Elijah above him. Every prophet is the absolute in his time. You see? 10 Well, the Lord Jesus Christ had two phases in his ministry. First, he was the Lamb of God and through his sacrifice on the cross, he saved all mankind, including you and me speaking to you. John the Baptist said: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. But the lamb is neither above the priest who slays it, nor above the sinner for whom it is slain. And secondly, the Lord Jesus Christ had a prophetic ministry like mine in his time. The Lord Jesus Christ is not my light. He was the absolute and the light of those of his time just as I, Kacou Philippe, am the absolute and the light of those of my time. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. And today, I have the keys of the Kingdom just as He also had the keys of the Kingdom in his time 2000 years ago.

Hence Turkic people where nomads and had no civilization, an extremely primitive cuisine 97% based on their cattle, no cities, no history, nothing. @Jonathan Kimberley We Greeks say : Pali me chronia kai kairous , pali dika mas tha einai - It translates into : Again , in years and in centuries , they will be ours again .... No need for blood though ... I do not care for them saying that Constantinople/Istanbul is theirs now. My problem is that they killed people ,massacred entire villages , raped women and little children-then killing them and burned down everything the Greks and other people , non-turkish people had in Constantinople/istanbul. I mean ... do they even know what respect is ? The same thing happend not only in this particular city , but also in other places like the former Greek cities of Pontus (Sinope , Trabzon, samsun , etc)

Not one mention of Armenia, one of the oldest and largest inhabitants of “Anatolia” for thousands of years, until they were slaughtered alongside other Christian Greeks and Assyrians during the 1915 Genocide by the Ottoman Empire prior to rebranding themselves as Turkey and then Türkiye

Achaemenid state (Old Persian: Khshacha, empire) (553 - 330 BC), an Iranian state of the ancient world, founded by Cyrus the Great. The empire is considered to be the first huge empire of the ancient world, its territory included a number of three continents: Asia, partly Europe and Africa. Even these data prove that Turkey is not an old state but a dictatorial state that wants to take over all the territories.

great video, very informative :) but the title is misleading, calling it "history of Anatolia"(or something like that) is the correct one. It was more of a geographical history.
