I remember this scene happening in the book, and then beetee is explaining to katniss about how peeta has been hijacked and in her mind she said to herself "It isn't possible. For someone to make peeta forget he loves me...no one could do that." That exact line broke my heart into a million pieces. Katniss realizing how much the Capitol has destroyed peeta and how peeta basically sees her as a threat now made her realize how much she never fully valued peeta's love for her. Although it's such a simple line in the book and I'm probably over analyzing, it helped show how katniss does really truly love and care for peeta, that now him being hijacked and viewing her as life threatening opened her eyes to a realization that peeta's undying love for her is gone now, and now she's realizing how much she does love him

But the way it actually ended, with Peet's banging his head against the bed while Katniss looks on and Coin rallies District 13 for an invasion, is also pretty epic.

....No...this actually happened near the end of the movie, peeta gets hijacked by the capitol and they make peeta believe katniss is a threat, and now with this peeta tried to kill katniss by sufficating her, he wouldve if it werent for the guy who slammed the thing into his head, even when that happened katniss still wants to save peeta even though he supposes an own threat to katniss now so this leads up to the epic part 2 conclusion of mockingjay and the hungergames movies in total

I have to say that I LOVE the camera work in the entire first scene. The way the camera follows her shocked face building tension in the audience until we see Peeta for our self's. Them choosing the first thing we see of him to be his back (and the way he straightens up when he hears Katniss call him) is a nice touch. I like how the camera lingers on his face for a moment to let his physical state sink in, and the way Peeta looks at her before attacking....it's chilling. Great acting by both Jennifer and Josh! This scene was so good that even people who read the book before the movie were still shocked in the cinema because that ACTING

After like three years I finally got to see her reaction to this scene and it was so worth it. I'm never gonna forget the gasp or the shock on her face.
