This is an interesting topic to me as a skinny fella. Years ago when I first started lifting my goal was to bulk as much as possible. After my first 4-6 months of initial growth, focusing primarily on protein and carb goals, I began to plateau. I realized after some calculations that I was hitting macro nutrient numbers but my calories were lower than ideal. I then began to focus on calories almost entirely, eating good foods but mixing in “iifym” foods like muffins, ice cream, fast food etc. I broke my plateau immediately and gained another 15-20 lbs and continued to get stronger. I found that while doing so, I was coming very close to or close enough to getting my macro numbers anyway. Im no longer chasing the goal of bigness but whenever I get a chance to help an ectomorph with tips on getting big and gaining weight, I tell them to focus on high calorie whole foods mixed with high calorie yummy foods and hit those calorie numbers if they want to bulk. The macros will fall into place.

What also matter is the alchemical balance inside the body in general for the individual to be able to absorb the nutrient dense food completely alone rather than when someone whom may just injest any type of food it will not have the same results as someone on a stricter nutrient rich/no carb diet in order for the food even if a small amount to be able to pack a bigger punch as it should in order to eat not as much but yet feed the body appropriately and completely without overeating and overworking the gut and kidneys form digestion aside if the person is either enhanced or taking just low tier supplementation to help “gain” muscle. Hence shitty diets and training won’t be the same as a highly effective training and proper strict macronutrient foods(like organic animal products and dairy) along with high Omega 3 to help the veins have good circulation and to help heart and digestive system as well when your eating. Once the body alchemical balance is higher PH rather acidic, then the small amount of food you injest willl be better absorbed especially if eat alot more then the more food the more weight you may gain

Stan the Man. I remember working out next to him while he’s repping 495 or 200 db’s. But the best, he was a nice person, always willing to listen and help.

I will always aim for 400 grams of protein. Not because of some misguided belief that it gives me added muscle building benefits, but because of the nature of macros. Protein is incredibly complex and can do a ton of things; sugars and carbs are incredibly simple and can only do one thing. Protein can be broken down into sugars AS THE BODY NEEDS THEM (which keeps fat levels down while building). Sugars cannot be converted into protein. This is like the equivalent of handing a carburetor alone to a mechanic and asking him to build you an entire car out of it. He's going to look at you like a moron, and rightfully so. A car, however, can be broken down into thousands of different pieces that all do different things, which is how protein is in our bodies. Protein is and will always remain king of the nutrients.

Guys just eat 200g of protein per day that's proven to be optimal for most people
@Please_allow_meАй бұрын
Thats pretty much what I aim for to be honest. At least 200g, maybe more depending on the day (up to 220/230) but yeah this subject has been ridiculously over complicated I think.

All these guys arguing about science that has been repeatedly debunked for decades. I've been consuming over 300g of protein for a decade, and 350g+ for over 5 years. No issue, on the carnivore diet, that's what my appetite does tell me to have. That's before any moron tries to argue with me otherwise, considering my degree is actually IN Human Nutrition.
@seanknox7321Ай бұрын
They aren’t arguing you can over eat protein they are simply saying you don’t need to consume more than they said. The goal is to reach your calorie goal and some people have a hard time eating protein so they need to be aware of the minimum.
