You should really make a video of this comic but with the original audio of the scene over top of it, that’d be so crazy to watch and feel like an animatic in a way!!

That closeup on *ahem* Gilbert’s face was so, so good. Probably my favorite panel from the comic. Excellent video!

It would be really interesting to see a continuation if this with one of the scenes later like frozone creating his ice slide thing or like dash running away from the guys in the jungle. I think it would be a great way to learn/practice drawing different effects and the feel of different kinds of motion/action. You did really well at replicating and continuing the effects in your Avatar remasters with the bending but i think that trying to replicate effects like those in the scenes i mentioned in a still image like with a comic would be such an amazing challenge. Anyways, love all your content! Keep up the awesome videos!!!

The final product of this feels like something that already existed, and that the movie would have been based on like all of the other comic book superhero movies coming out. Super cool!

The reason why (looks at paper in disbelief) *Gilbert's* office looks the way it does is show his attention to detail and precision. The pencils lined up and all of the clocks in sync emphasize this. Further more, when Bob sits down and disturbs his desk with pencils on it, before even remotely starts scolding Bob, he first fixes the pencil that is now misplaced. His attitude revolves entirely around his loyalty to the system, as opposed to the people that system is intended to help (at least, supposedly anyways). Additionally, we find out that this is, in fact, not the first time Bob was called to his office for things of this nature as Gilbert goes through a metaphor/mantra that Bob completes the sentence for. Save for Gilbert's initial scene in the movie, it's a huge indicator that they've always been butting heads for quite some time now. Finally, my favorite bit of the scene, the mugging. There is an active crime happening and Bob can't help but feel he's gotta do something. His instincts are acting up from his glory days and needs to do something even if he has to disrespect his boss to do so. But the reason Gilbert is so threatening in this scene is his final words, "[...]or you're FIRED!" His care and responsibility for his own family's livelihood causes him to have to back down. Furthermore, he is incredibly angry and frustrated at having to close and leave the door at the behest of his boss (shown by how horrible crushed the door handle now is). And after all of that... The mugger didn't even take the wallet. Someone was mugged for ultimately no purpose. That scene is so well crafted for that final moment. :)

This is great. The only thing that would have also been cool to see is a double page spread. Maybe if we get a part 2 of this with some scenes of Helen using her powers, we can see that being used to emphasize her stretching capabilities.

My only criticism about the comic is... I think a black and white would've been better than coloring it completely, the colors came out not the best and I think a lot of thought could've been put into using blacks and whites for the backgrounds, such as contrasting Bob and his boss using background tones and hues. I imagine the frame would be black, when closer to bob, and white when closer to the boss, or half and half with either side more or less bright depending on how bob would be feeling or thinking at that moment, the black overtaking the background until culminating in him finally grabbing the boss, where it could be a bright white background, maybe even with a form of action line coming off the boss. The scene with the holes in the walls and bob could've greatly benefited by adding black between the walls he broke and making the outlines of the walls white. I'd work on mostly using shading to emphasize scenes. Such as hard blacks on facial expressions to really dig in deep, or even using speech bubbles to make Bob feel/look more cramped. It was good nonetheless, but I hope this minor criticism/suggestion could help in future endeavors.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think using black and white would look pretty cool! And the speech bubble suggestion is brilliant

I think that could look cool, although I do wonder if that would alter the feeling of the original film. As a Pixar movie it really uses its colors and expression to create interest and portray more than what is used in just words. While this provides a great source to use as a comic due to the inherent ability to use very little dialogue and rather heavy imagery, I do think that the darker/intense style that you reference (while very effective for Manga/Anime like Berserk or even much of Frank Miller's work with DC like Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns, it tends to create a moodier more grungy and intimate feeling. I do think that the Incredibles would be really cool to see through that lens/style especially as I think like you mentioned it would for Chunny to work on deep shading and understanding light and shadow better. I just don't know if that would be the same feeling as the film if that makes sense.

@@leviharris413 I hate to be "that guy on the internet", but Frank Miller wasn't involved with Watchmen. It was written by Alan Moore, illustrated by Dave Gibbons and colored by John Higgins.

@@rob-rendell Haha all good man, I appreciate it. I'm not as huge into Watchmen so I wasn't sure. I just knew it was that darker heavily cross hatched style that he mentioned
