41:00 I think that the reason people don’t talk about it is because when you’re a beginner, talking about experiences can easily lead you into mental traps where you start to build a meditative ego. “Because I attained this state, I should be able to get back to it,” etc and you start chasing the past instead of being present. As you get more experience, it stops being an issue I’ve found.

59:10 That part about there being no delay to being aware of things reminds me of Einstein's Theory of Relativity. It says if you were to travel at the speed of light you would be in all places and moments in time at once. Consciousness and light are pretty similar it seems, they both illuminate things. Maybe that's why in Jewish Mysticism they consider the Absolute to be a Limitless Light - Ain Soph Aur

14:00 is really not that hard to comprehend. Manifesting things to happen is real but it's only as possible as how much you can change your mind and as far as you can influence people through your being. It's like Frank on his cut and actors becoming a role. You have to slowly, slowly fit the glove. Slowly mold yourself into a mindset. That can take months to fully fit the glove. But once you fit the glove, you can feel every single cell in your body changed and focused and reacting like it's meant to do that specific thing you desire. That's how I was able to cut 30lbs in 3 months. Everything i did every day was for the sole reason of cutting. No socializing with friends bc they ate shitty food, cut out gaming, cut out friends bad for me, only ate what i was supposed to eat. My entire being cut not only for fat but for everything i thought was a waste. And I focused on extended fasts. I even fasted for 72 hours once. You can apply this to anything.

Quick question: I even when I was beginning with meditating, I always have sort of visuals when looking at a white wall while meditating. Those visuals are like laser snakes or light strings swirling around in various colors. Those only come there when there is complete focus (or awareness as you say). Is this what you say about vipassana on your own body and dissolving stuff? Because it definitely feels as if the wall is deconstructing and reconstructing all the time (I understood impernance through this)

I feel psychedelics can create the chemical environment for some people to see through the veil. However, these neurotransmitters are always present and are not created by any outer substance, simply the signal for its release is initiated. Just like you said, it is a window for people to see their own potential. The negative thing about it is reliance on outer stimuli. When we learn to use our breath and the natural understanding that we have it all inside of us a new level of being is activated and the malleable, plastic state of our mind is constantly present. The idea that it is not possible to reach it naturally is based in the assumption that we are not able to control our own inner chemistry. Patanjali with the yoga sutras tells of a scientific way to experience the outer limits of our consciousness and is done without any ingestion of substance.

Buddha story cracked me up! :D Im deeper than you bro. Do you even empty bro? Is it possible to go through 'quiet' awakening? I noticed that i became waay calmer after my mom told me shes got cancer (thatd mean ill be by myself in the world - familywise, cause we're never alone, but always alone bro). Like it is what it is and i am what i am and i have no control over anything. And it gives such a freedom of imagination, so many possibilities. And paradoxically you start doing things because you truly want and not because you think you want lol. Its hard to explain it to 'average joe' because it sounds fucking weird. You start seeing sentence 'i dont care' through lenses of hundreds of people and you can understand every one of them. But you truly know you dont care because analytical brain is just switched off. Overthinking and being sad becomes stupid. I started enjoying conversations with dumb people as well as reading jung for fun. I dont know man, its just weird, but i cannot wait for tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow and until we die its awesome experience.

The part about Trump and Kanye West was so spot on. The way they act is just so uncontrived. Contrasted with other politicians or celebrities, whenever they do something you're not sure whether they're just doing that to get follow trends or get sympathy while believing the complete opposite. But with Trump, if he says or acts someway you know that's 100% him! Though I guess on the deepest level we're all being completely authentic or ourselves because there is no doer.

Dwelling at Savatthi. "Monks, there are these four nutriments for the maintenance of beings who have come into being or for the support of those in search of a place to be born. Which four? Physical food, gross or refined; contact as the second; intellectual intention the third; and consciousness the fourth. These are the four nutriments for the maintenance of beings who have come into being or for the support of those in search of a place to be born. When this was said, Ven.-Moliya-Phagguna said to the Blessed One, "Lord, who feeds on the consciousness-nutriment?" "Not a valid question," the Blessed One said. "I don't say 'feeds.' If I were to say 'feeds,' then 'Who feeds on the consciousness-nutriment?' would be a valid question. But I don't say that. When I don't say that, the valid question is 'Consciousness-nutriment for what?' And the valid answer is, 'Consciousness-nutriment for the production of future coming-into-being. When that has come into being and exists, then the six sense media. From the six sense media as a requisite condition comes contact.'" "Lord, who makes contact?" "Not a valid question," the Blessed One said. "I don't say 'makes contact.' If I were to say 'makes contact,' then 'Who makes contact?' would be a valid question. But I don't say that. When I don't say that, the valid question is 'From what as a requisite condition comes contact?' And the valid answer is, 'From the six sense media as a requisite condition comes contact. From contact as a requisite condition comes feeling.'" "Lord, who feels?" "Not a valid question," the Blessed One said. "I don't say 'feels.' If I were to say 'feels,' then 'Who feels?' would be a valid question. But I don't say that. When I don't say that, the valid question is 'From what as a requisite condition comes feeling?' And the valid answer is, 'From contact as a requisite condition comes feeling. From feeling as a requisite condition comes craving.'" "Lord, who craves?" "Not a valid question," the Blessed One said. "I don't say 'craves.' If I were to say 'craves,' then 'Who craves?' would be a valid question. But I don't say that. When I don't say that, the valid question is 'From what as a requisite condition comes craving?' And the valid answer is, 'From feeling as a requisite condition comes craving. From craving as a requisite condition comes clinging/sustenance.'" "Lord, who clings?" "Not a valid question," the Blessed One said. "I don't say 'clings.' If I were to say 'clings,' then 'Who clings?' would be a valid question. But I don't say that. When I don't say that, the valid question is 'From what as a requisite condition comes clinging?' And the valid answer is, 'From craving as a requisite condition comes clinging. From clinging as a requisite condition comes becoming. From becoming as a requisite condition comes birth. From birth as a requisite condition, then aging & death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, & despair come into play. Such is the origination of this entire mass of stress & suffering.[1] "Now from the remainderless fading & cessation of the six sense media[2] comes the cessation of contact. From the cessation of contact comes the cessation of feeling. From the cessation of feeling comes the cessation of craving. From the cessation of craving comes the cessation of clinging/sustenance. From the cessation of clinging/sustenance comes the cessation of becoming. From the cessation of becoming comes the cessation of birth. From the cessation of birth, then aging & death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, & despair all cease. Such is the cessation of this entire mass of stress & suffering."

Frank I think you underestimate 'spiritual genetics' or just your natural proclivity to spiritual progress. Most people who do what you did in terms of meditation etc will not realise their true self. Maybe this is just a limiting belief I have? Maybe it's not true, but my intuition says it could be. I don't think that doing just vipassana is gonna be enough for most people. I'm very glad that Frank recommended occasional psychedelic use. This is extremely important, because otherwise you'll spend the next 10 years doing vipassanna and not even get no self. Plus vipassana is boring, tedious and not enjoyable at all. Props to anyone who can do 1 hour plus of vipassana every day. The path should be fun and inspiring otherwise you'll just give up. Psychedelics must be used in conjuction with meditation and theoretical understanding. And don't go to some silly jungle to do them, do them on your own with the intention to realise whats true.
@darkbuddha33074 жыл бұрын
How is deconstructing the phenomena that make up reality boring? Mate, exercise your curiosity.
@smurf884 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe that is the case. This stuff doesn’t require the use of thought, aside from following simple instructions over a long period of time. Even someone who is low IQ could become enlightened. However, meditation can be impeded by poor quality of mind stemming from sleep problems, poor diet, lack of exercise, or other health problems. 34:30 I will say that vipassana can be boring, but once you get some momentum going and start seeing progress then it’s far more interesting. And guided meditations help with that as well. Psychedelics are a nice break from being sober all the time but are only supplements. If you make them your main practice like Actualized then you will have lots of nice experiences, but no enlightenment.

The real answer to your question is Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini is just the indian name for the mechanics of enlightenment. The Practices of Kundalini are ancient and universal. This is a real technology. Meditating alone will never get you where youre going. Depending on your religion/beliefe, you should dive into the esoteric and there you shall find your version of kundalini. Without harnessing this bio energy there is no enlightenment, dont let anyone fool you. No psychedelics can take you where kundalini can...
@SpaceMod24 жыл бұрын
1995yuda I don’t believe that every human can raise their kundalini. It just seems unlikely. Some people will do kundalini yoga and get all the benefits, others will do it for 50 years and never feel anything in their spine. About psychedelics, yes and no. Haven’t heard of anyone raising the kundalini through the spine with psyches. But I have realised god consciousness with them. So there’s pros and cons.
