Sad you’ll be taking a break. Great show, really filling a void since the band has hung up the boots.

What the roadie picks up is Peter's drum stick that is thrown and hit the lighting because you see him throw it, then some confetti dropping and then Peter grinning.

@kissfaq great new episode! The black and white 25 minutes is not shot by Chip Rock but simply by the band. Same camera as used about two months later in London (Canada) with the live premiere of God of Thunder in the set and way later on the Destroyer tour during the dress rehearsals and in St Louis. Kissology was so bad because they had a editor who just started working with DVD and made a lot of errors to make the picture quality look crisper. Kiss had nothing to do with it as it was all done by VH-1. I know as I was contacted by them around 2004 or so for the Lisbon 83 footage as I knew the guy who owned the master of that (he is the same guy from Amsterdam who bought the Detroit January 77 master tape).

Was it really? My understanding (and it's fuzzy) of the London video that it was shot by a student borrowing his school's new video camera to test out and was unrelated to the group. I seem to there being a long story post about it online long ago.
@pieterbalk-ht7kq5 ай бұрын
@@kissfaqi always learned it is the same camera and shot by Kiss and they tested it from all angles (GOT for instance was shot from the back of the stage). The Detroit 76 12 minutes “promo video” is fake. It was made by the Kissvision guys back in the early 90’s or so.
@pieterbalk-ht7kq5 ай бұрын
@kissfaq and the Kissology sources are way different to the ones used for Exposed and again different ones for Konfidential and Xtreme Close Up. Kiss My Ass again were different sources. Check for instance the huge difference in quality between NYC MSG 77 on Xtreme Close Up and the one released as a bonus disc for Kissology.

@@kissfaq check them and you’ll clearly see. I remember (most of) us all being dissapointed in the content and quality of KMA The Video back in 94. It had barely anything to do with the original idea and the album. They changed the concept once the album flopped. I have seen a promo version of about 30 minutes or so with Gene and Paul and their tourmanager in London in their hotel in March ‘94 on the KMA promo tour. Their tourmanager was the same guy that did the HITS and UK 92 Revenge tour ( Steve Brown?! Sorry don’t recall) and as we hung around their hotel all day and were present at the MTV taping of “Ray Coke’s Bingo Wall Of Death” with the acoustic going Blind he invited us over (that was possible in those days, as you might remember). The video was Gene and Paul recording the album and doing sessions with Anthrax, Gin Blossoms and Garth Brooks. Gene and Paul flying to Garth etc. Snippets turned up in the video but 98% was not in the video and most of it never circulated. I have like two hours or so of unused KMA The Video footage which is hilarious. The interviews in that video with the bandmembers were done in some sleazy office with Gene being the director and in some cases interviewer. It is even more amateurish than the Exposed 2 HITS era footage of which there are 20 reels.
@pieterbalk-ht7kq5 ай бұрын
But what about Cobo Hall 75 video @kissfaq ? The show was edited to three 25 or so minute reels of which reel 3 circulates and is available on DVD in Japan. But more interesting is the 10 hour silent pro shot footage from all the different angles plus backstage footage and RARAN promo video rehearsals at Michigan Palace the day before.

No. It's still on all versions of Night 1. KISSology 1 Bonus disc from Best Buy

And good point there Andrew about Exposed and Kissology, I thought precisely the same thing...why is Exposed better quality than Kissology...I think they couldn't even be bothered getting the actual true source material for Kissology.

In a clip from Kiss Exposed Paul Stanley said that the band had videotaped all of their shows since 1973. Is that a fact ?

No THAT website is dead and gone (according to rumours closed by Pink Floyd (or more likely their lawyers)). But there are others, try and Google some of the more common bootleg names like KISS Destroys Anaheim, and they will probably show up

The only "annoying" thing on these three shows is the sound, out of balance, too loud (maybe that's the sound in the arena every night), I guess with a little help from IA souftware somebody could do a better mix out of them
